We stayed at the Flint for 2 nights in June 2022. As the hotel doesn't have its own parking we were advised to drop off cases and then go park. Finding the hotel proved a little tricky (well for us it did) when arriving by car. It only has a very small, discrete sign and logo. We drove past several times in frustration until a kind conceriege at the nearby Fitzwilliam helped us find it! The car park is just 5 mins away at Gt Northern. Once arrived we found our suite covered all our needs. The bed was comfy, shower modern and powerful and we even had a little kitchen. There is a great little cafe next door (NRSH) where you can get breakfast. The central location was within easy walking distance of shops, pubs and buses. It was 5 mins walk to the G2 Glider Bus stop which takes you to the Titanic area.…
No nonsense No snotty staff All in all upper floors are best . Modern storage ideas that are great for over nighters. Gone are the days of cupboards and robes. Nice touches, good beds also nice idea to have a small kitchen within the room and a table with a couple of chairs. More like an air b n b place/crossover to a hotel. Stayed a few times here and keep calling back. Right in the City Center and plenty of eating choices nearby.
Location will get a full **** . Simple and friendly place in center town. Only negativepoint: no room cleaning for four full days and night (due to "covid issues") not advertised before booking. Rear view quite disappointing
It probably depends on what you are looking for as to whether this is right for you. If I was looking for a 5 star luxury romantic weekend away - it probably wouldn’t be my pick. But, for our circumstances it was perfect. We are currently travelling for months living out of suitcases. The Flint was well located, the small kitchenette enabled us to cook a simple meal one night with items purchased from a nearby Tesco, we were able to self cater for breakfast, and the laundry enabled us to leave with suitcases full of clean clothes. So much better than a laundromat as you could return to your room to watch TV during the washing machine cycle. We were even given a slightly later checkout which was awesome. Just a couple of comments on some themes raised in other reviews….1. There may only be small amenities provided but we were told on checkin that if we needed more we just had to ask and 2. Our room also had a bad sewer smell when we arrived. We opened the bathroom window and turned on all the taps and flushed the toilet a couple of times and this did seem to fix the problem! There are a lot of bars and restaurants (and shops and cinemas etc) in walking distance. We would definitely stay again.…
I've stayed at the Flint 2 or 3 times in the past. It is currently rated the #3 hotel in Belfast, which I doubt very much that it is. My recent two-night visit was fine. The room was pleasantly decorated and well equipped. The staff were friendly. I was fine with the room not being serviced, as I generally don't want the disturbance of a room service for a short stay. As a light sleeper my biggest gripe would be the noise. I can see from earlier reviews and responses that this is a "touchy subject" but in my opinion the noise insulation from the street is insufficient for a noisy city centre location. You will hear traffic, noisy revellers at all hours, bin lorries, etc. If you are in any way a light sleeper you will need to pack your earplugs. They must have been expecting Ross Geller, as the provision of consumables was extremely mean: one 20ml shower gel, one 20ml shampoo for two people and two nights. Luckily we brought our own. Also in the kitchen some teabags and decaff instant coffee. Honestly, if it's that expensive for you, don't provide anything but let me know so that I can bring it myself from home!…
Not a hotel and thats not a bad thing. Room, with kitchenette, which had all teh things you need of you needed to cook. Room is basic but pretty decent and, extremely important to me, the shower was excellent. Location is bang in the city centre. As there is no restaurant you need to hunt around for a decent breakfast, the recommendation on their website was closed for breakfast and their receptionist recommendation doesn’tt open until 09:00. Would certainly use again as very good value and no fuss (although you have to make your own bed :) )
Excellent location in the centre of the city a stone throw from the City Hall. The Hotel is a room only stay with a small kitchen and table for eating in each room. There are plenty of breakfast restaurants and small supermarkets in the immediate vicinity. Great for a short break.
Great apartment, lovely reception (Cormac) and perfect location. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Deserves to be no1. Have to keep writing now because tripadvisor says the review must be 200 characters 🥸…………………………………………………………..
Great location, pleasant professional staff, and a request made in advance was acceded to without mention. I'd recommended the flint to others who also stayed there and enjoyed it. Bed was very comfortable and street noise was acceptable . We availed of the 24 hour car park rate in the great Northern car park which is only a short walk away
