For a low cost bed and breakfast this hotel ticked all the boxes in terms of the set-up. Comfy bed; clean room; novel features with a lot packed into a small space; decent continental breakfast. HOWEVER, if you are arriving by car you need to pre-book a car parking space (which adds significantly to the cost of staying here). Otherwise, like us, and others we saw, you arrive at the gate after a long car journey and cannot get past the barrier without lengthy discussion. Even after paying £20 for the car park for our 2 night stay you need a code to get past the barrier, which we did not get. Instead we were asked to call in from the barrier, to enter, or leave. There are a lot of staff on reception and we spent a lot of time explaining and waiting. Also, 1 lift was out of action; and the "Constant tea/coffee machine* was out of action part of the time. IT WOULD BE BETTER TO MAKE THE CAR PARK ISSUE CLEAR ON THE WEB-SITE!

Hotel's Favourite
We were not expecting much. This was just a room to sleep in, convenient walk to the city centre and stadium. The parking was easy and secure and walking into the 'reception' area was a pleasant surprise. Happy, helpful staff with free coffee and mint water whenever we wanted 24/7. The dining area was also a 24/7 service and the whole area was bright, clean and welcoming. Out room was basic (as expected) but surprisingly comforting and functional. For a weekend away, it was absolutely fine. Everything worked and was clean and the shower was wonderful. The bed was firm but surprisingly comfortable and the 'do not disturb' label (attached photo) epitomised the humour and fun feel of the place. The room was very quiet. Food and drink were a bit pricey for a budget hotel but the buffet breakfast looked good and you could buy sandwiches and snack separately. The beauty of this hotel was it's proximity to the City and stadium which as a 10 minute quick walk. The shopping centre is the same distance as well as the popular bars and restaurants. Checking out was just handing the door key back. A really pleasant and surprisingly comfortable stay.

I’d call it sufficient, the room is ok got all your needs didn’t like the idea of having the sink outside though. The bed was good, being a solo traveller I’d say the room size was ok. Glad they have free hot drinks downstairs yet why no kettle in room! & you won’t find normal unflavoured tea. The staff were friendly and efficient and key cards worked fine (not in all hotels!). A/C left the room cold then suddenly decided to work at 5AM with loud noises! I’d say a sufficient stay.

Came to visit Cardiff for couple of days and stayed for 2 nights. Lovely size and clean room. Hotel was quiet maybe due to Covid which was pleasant. Good location about 5-10 mins walk to city center and with a Coop just opposite the hotel. Friendly reception staff and easy check in.
