When arrived we were met and given key there is a nice room with comfy chairs and television in foyer and breakfast room across from booking in desk. The rooms clean and tidy, beds comfortable, there are tea and coffee facilities a small bar of soap and television. We never booked breakfast so can't comment. The hotel is a good...

Good place to stay for a night or 2. The service was very good & friendly. The room was fine for what we needed. Tea & coffee facilities were good & has a car park which is handy. I would just say the shower isn't the greatest but that's all. Would stay again.

We found our room very comfortable with everything we had expected for the price we had paid ((£60 per night)). Convenient location to get into the city by bus or on foot and with free car parking. We didn't have breakfast which was no problem for the staff member who was very nice. This accommodation is great value for a...

The room was clean and spacious, with all the facilities needed. The staff is friendly, and although they are not always at the desk there is a phone number in case there is anything you need. It is 15 min away from the city centre and 20 min away from the castle. Continental breakfast costs 5 extra pounds a day....

I arrived for a two night trip with a friend. The room was mediocre, the floors were dusty and the towels rough. The shower was an absolute nightmare - the pressure was non-existent and it kept flitting between boiling hot and freezing cold. Absolutely awful. As well as this, all that was provided was a paltry lump of soap -...

We stayed here for three nights to visit Cardiff and games at the Principality Stadium. There were three of us staying in a shared room, which turned out to be the top floor of the house, giving us basically a lovely little flat with a separate living room with sink, separate bathroom and a sink in the bedroom, so we...

We were so pleasantly surprised at the state of the rooms and the service. Immaculately clean, couldn't find a speck of dirt or dust. The beds and the room were extremely comfortable with every hotel room fitting and luxury supplied. We were here for a weekend and before we arrived to the hotel/ guesthouse, we didn't know what to expect,...

I have really good memory of this place. Very kind and friendly staff, cosy and clean rooms. I love Cardiff and if I will be there again I will definitely go to The Avala Guest House. It's also near the city centre (about 10-15 minutes walking)
