The guy at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, spacious and had comfortable good sized beds. The pool (although you had to book each time you used it) was not too cold and the hot tub was fantastic. Breakfast was plentiful and the food served in the restaurant was absolutely lovely. The location was fairly good, just a 15 minute walk from Cardiff Castle. Parking price per day was reasonable. All in all, I would definitely recommend.

We interacted with the staff on multiple occasions and felt that staff is very rude and easily start to pass comments which really made all of us very upset and felt , not to stay anymore here ,during our next visit. We had tough time with the door key and by random chances, we were able to open it. when we complained about it, the reception guy changed the key and blamed us , for not doing it properly though we found that many other customers had same issue Car parking is so time-born and if you arrive hotel late , by any chance, you are not gonna get it. Breakfast was good though. I hope that staff at this hotel should go through some sort of training to calm down their ego so they deal with their customer with polite manner. Advice to novetal : Be polite else ..... overall, if you are likely to get better hotels than this, with same price , dont prefer this hotel.

We stayed here for 3 nights and all together had 6 rooms. Out of those 6 rooms 2 had air conditioning that was working. When we complained about it we were told by the rather rude and grumpy man on reception that more of the rooms had broken air conditioning than rooms with it working. He was clearly fed up of having to apologise for this. Maybe the Hotel Group Accor would like to invest some money into this hotel in order to boost staff morale and guest satisfaction… either way the hot rooms really put a dampener on the sleep quality. The breakfast staff were amazing and they couldn’t do enough for you ( unlike the grumpy reception staff) breakfast was hot fresh and very tasty. Booking Breakfast slots was an easy process and had to be done due to covid restrictions. On the last day we had until 12 noon to check out. One of our party took some of their items down to the car leaving 2 dresses in the wardrobe until last minute. When they returned to the room to collect the dresses they found housekeeping in the room already and the dresses had been removed. They asked housekeeping where had the dresses gone and after a few minutes and some rummaging she produced one of the dresses bundled up and wrapped in a plastic bag. The other dress had vanished. We then went to speak to reception who said our only option was to call the police. Why housekeeping was in the room before checkout we have no idea…. Our room keys also had stopped working before 12 and we had to ask to get back into our rooms at 11.30am.

We stayed over for one night to break up a journey from Cardigan to London. The hotel rooms are basic but perfectly adequate. Highlights were the pool and an amazing waiter called Lit who served us at breakfast, he really went out of his way to bring the kids all the little extras they asked for and made us feel super welcomed and looked after! Thank you and hopefully we’ll see you again!

We arrived at Novotel around afternoon time, where John checked us in. No questions we asked him were difficult, he was extremely helpful with letting us know about all the facilities, the pool, breakfast times etc. Amazing touch by giving my 4 year old a small soft toy, who has now become his best friend. Quick and efficient check in. The room was brilliant, comfortable bed and nice shower. had a fridge too, which was very convenient. Breakfast was hot and continental, everything you would need at breakfast was there. Will definitely be staying here again.
