Had a fantastic 5 nights, ,No complaints about anything, The only little thing was no extractor in the bathroom. We would both recommend this one, and stop again. There is a noisy bar opposite but if you shut the Windows is ok.and did not keep us awake
The room was dirty. There was sick on 1 of the beds (twin accessible room). There was a Pubic hair on the toilet seat and 1 of the bed sheets. The ustomer service is rubbish. Attitude of staff, not good either. Would not recommend this hotel.
Stayed two nights will hardly any sleep at all. There are teenagers and young adults screaming , shouting playing loud music setting car alarms off until 3am!! Our room was across the road from Greggs and the noise was unbearable and apparently if you stay in the other side of the hotel you have a nightclub playing music until 2am. There are posters around the hotel asking you to keep the noise down if your back after 10 what a laugh!!! Think twice before booking wish I had read the reviews before booking won’t make that mistake again.
Only stay at the Cardiff Queen Street Travelodge if you are prepared to except • Unclean rooms • Paper thin walls so internal noise is a major issue • A very loud bar/nightclub opposite the lodge which prevents sleep • A small television which is impossible to watch • Dirty linen on the beds • Showers that are impossible to regulate and have very little pressure • Corridors with dirty walls and worn carpets Then when you mention these issues to the staff they are able to do nothing for you. On check out the manager, Dina, was arrogant and unapologetic for a dreadful sleepless night, questioning every issue that I presented to her. Please do not stay at this Travelodge; there are finer, comfortable and cleaner budget hotels in the centre of Cardiff. This Travelodge is letting the rest of the Travelodge’s in the UK down and the manager should be ashamed of her management of this Travelodge, as it was not as bad as this the last time a stayed prior to the pandemic.…
I called to ask if we could add a 4th person to the room and was told that it was a 3 person room so we had to pay for another room only to find in arrival 4 beds in the room. During the night the cover came partly off the duvet and the duvet was mouldy. I needed and ironing board so called reception and was told I would have to fetch it myself.
