Booked a queen sweet On arrival it was dirty ask for another room Receptionist upgraded me to a cheaper room Said was roughly same price Said would sort but did not Was looking forward to staying with my wife after doing business in Cardiff Would not go again Premier inn would have been better
Not a four star hotel! A bleak and uninviting entrance with minimal welcome and very slow check-in. The room was a decent size but not very clean or in good order - sticky drinks marks on the desk, screwed up paper notes by the bed, the bedside lampshade was torn and tatty, the shower screen doesn't fit so bathroom floor was flooded after the shower, no shower gel in bathroom but two shampoos instead... All little things, but it's the little things that make the difference. The room is bleak and stripped of all comforts but maybe that's a covid thing. Breakfast was grim. Pastries were stale and hard, clearly left over from yesterday, definitely not fresh or nice. Breakfast was generally disappointing. I went out and bought breakfast elsewhere. A very dismal experience. Not a friendly hotel. Absolutely not a four star hotel. …
The company put my card details on someone else's account and charged me for their room. To begin with once I questioned this I was spoken to in a very rude manner - they finally accepted that they were in the wrong and told me they would void half the transaction so I didn't have to pay again. However this was not true. I turned up to the hotel to be told I had to pay for my room again as the full transaction was void. To avoid my evening being ruined by this company even more I unwillingly paid again as I was promised the refund would be in my account in 24 hours. I am still waiting 48 hours later and no sign of the money nor anyone trying to sort it. I will looking for legal advice to take this GDPR breach forward!!!!
There was a noise in the ceiling that kept us awake for much of the night. When mentioned in the morning I was not convinced the next guests wouldn’t experience the same! Breakfast was great. Parking too expensive
I had stayed here before , but felt the hotel had gone downhill , not as welcoming as before maybe this is due to covid , the room was very cold on arrival and took a while to heat up , the reception area dark not very inviting
