Having paid £100 to stay I find it u believable that you cannot get a drink and relax in the bar as all the tables are booked. Your website only allows booking tables for lunch or dinner not for a drink. COVID or not guests of a hotel should be entitled to enjoy the facilities if the hotel they have paid to stay at

I joined the Village club and got a good deal for £112.00 for one night in a family room with a £40.00 voucher towards dinner - landed with that deal.. Arrived at the hotel and it wouldn't allow us to check in on app, said we didn't have a room so asked the man at front desk - 'it's ok i will sort you one key card then when at your room try to download key on mobile.' So off we go to our room - 505. Get to our room and oh my it was boiling in there, so i tried to call reception but phone in room didn't work, off i walk all the way to reception to ask if we can be moved to a room with air conditioning - front desk then tell me NO ROOMS IN HOTEL have AIR CONDITIONING!!! Back up to room, husband says he walk to ASDA to buy a fan. There is no fridge or safe in room either, best thing in room was the shower and beds were comfortable, even more so if not like an oven in room😔 We got ready for dinner, went to restaurant and when sat down by staff member (who i think was manager, he was amazing) told us that a waitress would be over soon to take our order, menu was not large choice but good enough, i had chicken salad, husband had burger stack, son had chicken wrap and for dessert he had doughnuts, lemonade included in children deal. We had 2 double gin and tonic and 2 pints of stella - total after £40.00 taken off £45 we paid - we felt the food was worth the cost as tasted nice and plenty of it. Now the staffing at the restaurant has alot to be desired, 3 staff on floor and 1 food runner - the restaurant was very very busy and the orders for drinks were backing up, we cannot say that we had to wait long really think we in restaurant for just over 2 hours BUT other tables waited 45 minutes just for their drinks to be given to them and i must say three of the staff worked their bums off but one member of staff does need to sort himself out he just looked like he didn't want to be there and was so slow. The pool at the hotel is really nice for families and also the gym was good my husband said but you do need to book time slots for both. All in all a good hotel but do think it defo needs air conditioning installed in bedrooms

To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I booked a table at 5.30pm following a visit to the swimming pool onsite. We were seated promptly and our order was taken. Food was delivered and lovely, however the Katsu curry children's portion was the exact same size as the adults and at over double the price, was rather disappointing. Having finished our food at 6.30, we waited 45 minutes for the table to be cleared, despite asking on 2 separate occasions. We were told that the children's deserts were on their way, so I went to pay. At 7.35 there were still no deserts in sight and as it was getting late with 2 very disappointed children we left. We have been regular customers at the hotel for months and as members I expected more. The staff who work there are excellent, however there is no where near enough of them. The head office seem to think that using the app to order and pay will reduce the need for waiting staff. This is a huge mistake, people visit restaurants for the service, not to wait around and be told to use an app! VERY DISSATISFIED customer.

The hotel was lovely (just a few dusty cobwebs in a corner of the room that needed some attention). The staff were very friendly and helpful! The food was really tasty however very overpriced in my opinion. Would still definitely return again :)

Lovely building and then great welcoming reception staff. My room was really well equipped and you really could not want for more. Was a little airless but it was the warmest day of the year (unusually warm) but you could open the windows right up if you took off the catch and they also provided a good fan in the room. Bed was really comfortable as were the pillows. Ate in the evening in the Pub and Grill, was fine, its basically pub food but does not pretend to be anything more than that. Very reasonably priced. Wine was really expensive, especially for Wales, a large Pinot (and not t a good one) was £9 or Savignon £11. Breakfast was the normal buffet affair but served by someone behind the counter - breakfast not up to much as it was luke warm as it often is on buffet deals - only scrambled eggs ("we dont have the staff to do fried eggs" I was told when I asked for one!) Should do something about the tea - you make it yourself which is not a problem but the hot water is in thermos flasks so again not really hot enough.
