This is a wonderful hidden treasure of a venue which was quite an unexpected find. Absolutely faultless service throughout which made us feel wholeheartedly welcome from the moment we arrived. Delicious, healthy food which was expertly prepared and presented. All four of us were delighted with our meals- (two of us had the Vegetarian Option)! I only have two slight...

The two of us stayed for three nights in the middle of January '17 and chose the location for its proximity to both the Vale of Glamorgan coast and The Mumbles/ Gower Peninsular. We were impressed with the décor, service and food. There seemed to be a few business people staying but they did not detract from our experience. Thoroughly...

We stayed for 2 nights in a fabulous very large bedroom in the main house, which was decorated to suit this period hotel and clean. This is a family run hotel where nothing is too much trouble for the staff and the service is excellent. There's an excellent Gin menu in the bar and all the bar prices are very...

Lovely Sunday lunch in charming restaurant. Excellent, very professional service. Superb menu with traditional choices with the flare of an obviously extremely capable chef. Extensive wine list. Sensibly priced. Well worth a visit if you appreciate well prepared cuisine.

Visited here for a one off meal and we weren't disappointed. We had a warm welcome and the service was second to none. A calm sophisticated atmosphere and the food was exquisite, we will definitely be returning!

The staff could not do enough. The rooms were well decorated and clean. The only thing that let it down was the lunchtime menu on the Saturday which was not what we had expected but then again it may have been because it was close to Christmas. Would recommend this Hotel.

Beautiful building. Lumpy, uncomfortable mattress. Cold shower in the morning. Hotel's response: 'we forgot to turn on the hot water.' As a result of trying to get hot water, and being late getting ready for work, I missed breakfast. And I never got my shower. Appalling.

First time I've been to the Great House Hotel, and I was blown away by the seven course tasting menu. Clever cooking with unusual combinations and delicious flavours that I've never come across before. Each course looked like a piece of art, my photos don't do them justice, but more importantly they delivered on flavour. Excellent, polite and attentive service...

Decided to book an evening meal here for my birthday as I had read good things about their tasting menu on Gourmet Gorro's food blog. We arrived a little earlier than our booking and were asked if we would like to sit in the bar area and have a drink while perusing the menu or go straight to our table....

We preordered Afternoon Tea for a family Birthday, our own private room, large central table, plenty of tea and coffee provided, all the food was freshly prepared and there was a variety of sandwiches and small cakes. Lovely old building, services was good.
