We stayed in the train carriage from 12th-14th April with our little dog. It was absolutely lovely, perfect surroundings and had everything that you need there...could not fault it at all. Emma was lovley and welcoming when we arrived. We had a tiny bit of rain on the first night which did not phase us at all, the cabin was...

There were originally going to be nine of us staying but for various reasons thus was reduced to six, so plenty of room for us! On arrival the house was nice and tidy but cold. There were firelighters, kindling and logs available for the two wood stoves, and we soon had roaring fires. Emma had proposed out to pick up...

We stayed in the carriage for 4 nights hoping for complete isolation for myself and husband and 2 dogs. The place is secluded and well catered for all our needs. No electricity, but gas powered fridge and outdoor shower. A wood burner was inside as well as an fire pit for cooking. You can walk to the beginning of Pen...

Danyfan is a lovely Victorian house with pretty gardens and set in a beautiful location. It's really peaceful but not too far from Brecon town and stunning mountain ranges. Emma, the owner, is helpful and very welcoming. We look forward to going back.

Have just returned from a perfect long weekend in Dan y Fan. House was fabulous and the welcome of bread and brownies was great after a longer than anticipated drive. The Christmas tree and fairy lights made it look magical and really set the scene for our family pre-christmas break. We were a big group aged from 10months through to...

As we arrived at Danyfan on a beautiful summer afternoon after a long journey, our breath was taken away by this stunning cottage. Although Steve and Emma were away for the weekend, we were greeted by the welcome sight of homemade bread and brownies. We sat and had our first cup of tea, taking in the incredible view from the...

Lovely renovated cottage nestled at the base of the highest beacon Pen y Fan. Friendly and welcoming owners, superb kitchen, log fire. Great place for a large group to stay. Only issue was the amount of flies in the kitchen, but this had minimal impact on the overall experience.

We had a lovely weekend and were very well looked after. Steve and Emma are great hosts and (in our opinion) have the balance just right between spending time with the guests and providing time for guests to be by themselves. Excellent breakfasts with e few beers an G and Ts thrown in (Nick and Richard particularly keen on the...

I just ran a long weekend yoga retreat at Danyfan. It was so perfect. The cosy rooms looking up at the mountains of Brecon Beacon National Park and the delicious food cooked by Stevie. Emma making sure everyone had a Gin and Tonic or glass of wine with some home cooked canapes by the fire before dinner. Doing yoga in...

Thanks to Emma, Steve (and Judy the dog!) for making our stay in Brecon so pleasant. The house is still under going transformation in parts which others have also commented on, but this didn't impact on our stay at all. We were in room 2 which was nice, traditional style fittings to the bathroom. We were made to feel very...
