#5 of 15 Speciality lodging in Betws-y-Coed
Travellers' Choice
Nestling in the heart of the magnificent Snowdonia National Park and within a short walk of the pretty village of Betws-y-Coed, Riverside Touring Park has been given a £4 million facelift to provide five star luxury facilities. A prestigious affiliated site of The Caravan Club, this eight-acre park has been upgraded to provide pitches for 60 touring caravans and motorhomes, 29 tents (accommodating nothing larger than two man backpacker tents), and 68 privately owned caravan holiday homes. Riverside Touring Park is an ideal based from which to explore the wonders of North Wales, including Hafod Eryri, the new visitor centre at the summit of Mount Snowdon. For steam enthusiasts, the Welsh Mountain Railway is also within easy reach. The park, which has electrically operated security barriers, is also close to Betws-y-Coed's shops, restaurants and pubs and golfers will be delighted to discover that there's a first class golf course nearby. Whether you're a sportsman, nature lover, rambler, angler, artist, photographer, cyclist or someone just seeking a relaxing family break, you will not be disappointed at Riverside. Luxury facilities include centrally heated reception and toilets, fully equipped laundry, an on-site shop, 20 all-weather super pitches with water, electricity, WiFi and digital TV, motorhome service point.

We love Riverside, have visited many times and will continue to do so. Lovely park in a great location. However on our last visit we were surprised there was no sanitizer provided by the service points. Every site we've been to recently has provided it and I think in view of what Morris Leisure charge and the fact that the toilet and shower blocks are closed, the least they could do is put some out. Also, why do the wardens insist on mowing the grass around people, their vans and belongings? I'm all for a tidy site, but surely they could do it when the pitches are empty, instead of disturbing people and running the risk of damaging expensive motorhomes and caravans. We challenged the warden when he started to pick up our stuff to move it and he became quite confrontational to the point of rudeness. The grass didn't even need cutting, it had already been manicured within an inch of it's life.

My experience on cancelation is: Extremely rude disrespectful staff. Not willing to refund even when you cancel long before. -10 costumer services. I would never ever contact them. I have to take a legal action against their unfairness, Breach of contract and unprofessional disrespectful behavior.
