Bryn Afon is an elegant Victorian house situated on the banks of the river Llugwy. We have spectacular views of the River Llugwy and the 500 year old stone Pont-y-Pair bridge where the salmon leap in late Autumn. With forest walks starting from our doorstep and with some of the finest restaurants in Betws y Coed and North Wales just 1 minute's walk away, this really is the perfect base for touring the Snowdonia National Park (or for staying locally to enjoy the beauty of Betws-y-Coed). We are able to assist guests with a variety of suggestions on places to visit – from gentle strolls to strenuous mountain walks, mountain bike trails, castles, slate mines, steam railways, gardens, lakes etc, to shopping or eating locally or finding the best local cake and coffee shop. Bryn Afon is easily accessible by public transport; Betws-y-Coed train station and the bus 'station' - both connecting to LLandudno Junction. The Snowdonia Sherpa Bus enables you explore the area and we also have parking in our own guest car park, plus a secure shed to lock up bikes.

From their webpage: Bryn Afon Guest House is closing its doors for the last time today and we would like to thank everyone, past and present, who has supported us and enjoyed their stay with us during our ownership. It has been a pleasure looking after all of our guests from around the world but it is now time for us to move on. A sincere thank you from Mike and Sarah

Stayed here for 2 nights with some friends. The location of the B&B is right on the river so the views are gorgeous. We had rooms 2 and 3 - both river views, both comfortable and en-suites clean and modern! Room 3 had a window that faced onto the road but when the window was shut you could only faintly hear the road noise. Tea, coffee, got chocolate and kettle all included in the room, the little info-card was super helpful and there was plenty of storage space for clothes. The breakfasts at this B&B were delicious and cooked wonderfully! All locally sourced food and menu choice is brill - there is something for everyone. Only downside to this B&B is the car park which is on a steep hill so this may be tricky if you aren’t a confident driver when it comes to parking/reversing on a hill. Mike and Sarah are brilliant hosts, you can tell they love what they do! We will definitely be stopping here again!

This is a lovely little B&B in a charming spot. Mike and Sarah are welcoming and friendly hosts. They were interested in our plans and happy to give us advice on how to get around and about. Our room was spotlessly clean with a very comfy bed and the breakfasts were lovely. We would happily stay there again.
