Visited with my old man and little brother for a few days of peddling. Immediately welcomed by carol with a big wave and given a brief on the lay out of the site and told where we’d be parking up for up the next few days. We got hooked up and visited the facilities around the site. Perfectly clean and more than enough for any camping trip. 10p coins were needed for the shower which we all had forgotten to bring with us, but carol had laid out a table with various amounts of change for both the washers/dryers and the shower with a pot for your money in exchange. The shower is more than adequate, two showers a day were all red hot each and every-time regardless of time of day. The morning walks up the hill to fill our water bottles and hydration packs would often catch the pair on their morning duties and would always stop for a chat, making sure everything was okay the night before or offering advice on what to do around the local area. We stayed for two nights and our trip was most definitely made better by staying Rynys. We couldn’t ask for much for and we’re already planning on coming back on the way home. A personal, small, clean and tidy site ran by a very kind couple that we all found more than accommodating.

Rynys is owned and run by Carol and Gareth.Met Carol, and immediately hit it off. She explained all the salient features of the site, without embellishment. I offered to pay for my intended 3 nights at the start, but she said pay the evening before you leave. As with all campsites, the rules is the rules. I was fine with all the salient points. The cost is less than half of some NT sites. Yet the showers, washroom, facilities were always spotless. The site is situated on the side of an undulating hill, with several levels, but the views from all were spectacular. Dotted round the site are benches and tables. Do check their website, and google map the access from the A5. I will be back to enjoy again.

Wish we could have stayed longer. 5 mins south of Betws-Y-Coed. 1 minute up a farm truck passable in a car. Several camp sites plus yurt and shepherds hut. Great facilities, fridge, pots to use, dryer everything you could ask for. Lovely lady very helpful esp as we had t used a Motorhome before. Mix of tents and vans. No noise after 11pm and she cleans at that time so is on hand to check. Sry chilled but professional. You can see Snodon from some part of the site. Dogs welcome
