After a surprise meeting with friends in Betws -y-Coed (secretly planned) to celebrate Nigels 18th birthday we went into town for something to eat. The food was lovely as always and the service was superb, nothing was to much trouble for the staff. Very good menu and excellent drinks list. The feel was relaxed and no rush to eat and...

We arrived just in time to have the 2 or 3 course lunch menu which was very reasonably priced. Children's menu has a really good choice and colouring pictures and crayons were well received. The service was excellent in a relaxed and friendly environment. Food was lovely, fresh and well presented. Considering how busy the town gets it was good...

Stayed at The Royal Oak for two nights in one of the lodge rooms. The room was nice and clean and well decorated to say it was their basic room. Only downside, its was a tad gloomy and needed the lights on most of the time. The food at The Stables pub was lovely fresh, could not fault it! The...

Reception area quite nice (apart from the very 70's decor) and reception staff helpful and happy. Room was small, cramped, dog-eared and window opened out onto top of kitchen vents (NOISY!!!), not helped by a very warm room (probably suiting the majority of the hotels elderly clientele). Bathroom positively reeked of strong soap smell (almost gagging smell) and shower was...

We stayed in the royal oak lovely hotel but the breakfast staff and manager were fab. They do great veggie sausages if you ask them (they don't have them on the menu) and when they heard we were walking Snowdon for MENCAP they gave us a donation and rallied round getting us all having group pics great fun at breakfast...

We visited on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Good food, quick service and very well priced. I have been visiting The Royal Oak for a number of years and on every occasion the food and service had been very good and consistent. Highly recommended ✔️✔️

Stayed in the newer part of the hotel. Nice, clean and pleasant room. Hotel overall is lovely and enjoyed a great meet there. Nice enough pub that had a jazz band on and plenty of outside seating as well. Beautiful area to go for walks as well.

Decided to stop here before we tackled Snowdon. Lovely hotel, the area is amazing, almost something that doesn't feel real. The room was really nice as reasonable value for money. Only downside was the restaurant service in the evening was slow, didn't seem to be enough staff. No sorry about the wait, how was the food, etc. Even worse in...
