As soon as we arrived we were made to feel so welcome by Dave. The hotel is in the perfect location… minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the village but sitting just far away enough to feel the peace and quiet needed after a long walk. The hotel is beautifully decorated throughout and the room we stayed in was spacious, clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay - including a view of the trees (we stayed in room 4). The breakfast was fantastic with a range of choices and delicious breads and fruit. We can’t wait to return!

We spent two nights at this fabulous B&B after being fortunate enough to secure a cancellation.... What an amazing place! From booking until leaving the experience was seamless. Communication beforehand from Dave was excellent - even suggesting great places to eat and self check in was simple. Our room was spotless with a wonderfully comfortable bed with beautiful bed linen and fantastic views. The choice of breakfasts is fantastic and perfectly cooked by Gabby. We followed Dave's suggestions for places to walk whilst we were there and all in all had an absolutely fantastic time! We shall definitely be back and are already looking forward to it! Thank you Dave and Gabby for a wonderful short break.

We stayed here for two nights, and we were so impressed. The place is absolutely stunning. Rooms are immaculately clean and equipped with everything you need from ample wardrobe space, slippers, white bathrobe, tea/coffee, television and the shower was superb. The owners are absolutely fantastic. They really give your stay the personal touch, and it’s this that gives summer hill so much more than a hotel. We got up early for Snowdon, and the owners provided us with a breakfast two hours early than the stated time. They also filled my flask up with extra coffee! Self-check in was easy and actually somewhat genius - we felt relaxed as we could turn up at whatever time we wanted, and then at breakfast we met the owners and they made us feel so welcome. Summer Hill is quaint, quiet and full of personality that gives the edge over any chain hotel. Thoroughly recommend. Would give it six stars if I could.

From the moment we arrived we knew this place was going to be wonderful. Dave is so welcoming and gave us some brilliant guidance of the local area. Our room (no. 1) was so clean and the view was stunning from the little chair. I could not fault it at all. The breakfast was fantastic, it really set us up for the day. The bacon was the best I had ever had. There is a reason its rated no.1 on TripAdvisor because it is exemplary. We cannot wait to come back.

We just spent two nights at Summer Hill Guest House and it is, without a doubt, the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Dave puts such care and hospitality into making every visitor feel at home. Every step of the way, from booking the room to checking out was smooth and professional. Dave provided thorough information in advance about COVID procedures and also about local restaurants and their reservation processes. The Room: We stayed in Room #8 which had a spectacular view of the river and lots of sunlight and fresh air. The room itself was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated. The wifi in the room was also strong with no issues. Breakfast: Delicious! Dave made sure to accommodate our requests and even made up a vegetarian-style Welsh breakfast for us. Breakfast included a fresh fruit salad, a standard menu of multiple options as well as a menu of breakfast specials and also yogurts, teas, coffee, cereals, and fresh juice. The dining room is beautifully decorated with lots of sunlight and plenty of space between tables. Location: Summer Hill House is perfectly located in the heart of Betws-y-Coed and within walking distance of shops and restaurants as well as plenty of hiking routes around the local forests, mountains, and waterfalls. One of the hiking routes starts just behind Summer Hill House's parking lot and up through the mountain and neighboring forest. We strongly recommend any visitors to take advantage of these walking trails. Best part: Rufus! We had the pleasure of meeting Dave's lovely and SUPER friendly cat Rufus very briefly at the front door one morning. We wish we could have had more time to hang out with him and hope you get a glimpse of this fluffy guy. Note, Rufus does not live in the guest portion of Summer Hill House and was simply chilling outside the front door. As Americans on a brief visit to Wales, we found Dave to be super helpful in advising us about the local sites and will be recommending Summer Hill to all our friends! Thank you, Dave!
