Lets start by saying that Emma the owner is lovely and did her best for our 3 night stay. We have been trying to work out why there has been no reviews since september last year, we think it is because Emma is so nice, nobody wants to say anything slightly negative. The breakfast is fantastic, very well cooked, a small suggestion though. A menu of options so we don't have to ask if there are any beans. It just makes it easier. The room was in need of a makeover, very old and tired, the TV was square, at least 20 years old with a Grundig box attached that had 5 channels and no ITV. Bed was comfy. Wifi is excellent. The building on arrival is a concern as the garden is overgrown, the sign peeling and weeds growing out of the gutters, paint peeling off the windows and front door. Obviously the business has had better times but Emma deserves so much more. She is so lovely and we hope that she manages to upgrade a little and power on. Good Luck.

Great hosts, great breakfast, great value, great stay. Nothing was too much trouble for Huw & Emma and their advice on where to go and what to see was invaluable. Ideal for ZipWorld. Highly recommended. Gary & Karen

It was the most warm and welcoming venue. Emma and Huw were brilliant. Made us feel at home. The breakfast was just perfect and nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and cleanliness superb. Will definitely return.

Stayed at Grove House for a couple of nights mid-week, Emma & Huw are very welcoming and have a great knowledge of the local area and gave very good and easy to follow directions for the walk we did from Grove House. Its in a good location a few minutes walk from the centre on Betws, parking is on a side road at the side of the house, the bed was comfortable, room was clean and more than adequate for what we requied, breakfast was good and sets you up for the day, Emma cooks you what you ask for. We prefer to stay in small independently run hotels/B&B when we go away and Grove House ticks that box.

We had booked another hotel using another website which got cancelled without us knowing. Emma and Huw saved us by having rooms available, but after staying there I would definitely stay again. Rooms very comfy and not much road noise, they brought us fresh milk and biscuits for tea, breakfast was fab. Had a lovely chat with both of them, both lovely hosts and make you feel very welcome, a home away from home. Nothing would be too much for them!
