Another fantastic no frills bunkhouse Ben was a brilliant host The location is stunning at the foot of snowdon Its a hike or drive in the car to the nearest town but worth the visit We walked for miles around the reservoir and into the old slate quarry Thinking about a return visit next year

MY brother and I needed somewhere cheap and cheerful for a couple of nights while we were visiting Go Below in north Wales. Betws Y Coed is not the cheapest place to stay usually so The Vagabond bunkhouse was a real find!! For less than GBP20 pppn you get clean bedding, warm rooms (which are private and lockable if you're...

6 of us stopped in the 8 birth room, it was clean & tidy & had everything we needed for a 1 night stay. The beds were quite hard but I don't mind that & it was great to have nice clean bedding so we didn't have to drag our sleeping bags out. Also a great bonus that we could...

Very clean, safe feeling & great value for money. Stayed over a weekend where breakfast is compulsory but that was a decent size & delicious. Only one thing that irritated was that there didn't seem to be any power sockets easily found in the room. There was one right outside the door which had to be shared by 6 of...

Stayed here last weekend by myself for 3 nights whilst hill walking in the area. I love this bunkhouse. So friendly despite being alone. Cosy warm accommodation with a cottage like feeling. Very reasonably priced. Really good location for town. Would highly recommend staying here!

Stayed at the Vagabond whilst seeing family for a few days, making the most of the time we had left during work holidays, I will admit that I never stayed in a bunkhouse before so had no real idea what to expect. I'm normally a static caravan type, A clean bed was my only expectation. Arrived to a friendly check...

I stayed here for a stag weekend, the staff were brilliant, there is a well stocked bar and the breakfast is a full english! Will definitely stay again. Good amount of communal space along with large dorms, perfect for big groups.

The staff is super friendly, especially the guy on reception, and we shared quite a few funny conversations - very welcoming indeed. But some of the dorm rooms feel overall uncomfortable and very crammed. This probably depends which room you have. The bathrooms are okay - as with all hostels, it depends on your fellow guests, how clean the facilities...

10 of us in our party ranging from ages 9-50. The place really suited our needs. We received a warm welcome from Neil and his team. Rooms good but bar and dining room (public areas) were even nicer. The showers need a spot of tlc but otherwise tidy and clean. Short walking distance from pubs and restaurants. Would recommend for...

I found this bunkhouse on line, and after reading some reviews, booked for an overnight stay. I was only there for one night and found the place was fine for what I wanted. I was using it as a base for exploring the local area and although it was basic, it was clean, the showers were ok, the breakfast was...
