I have not been youth hosteling for many years, and really this accomodation put me in mind of this, but with a little more. Reading a couple of the previous reviews, I didn't notice any smells at all, and a nurse's sense of smell is always at work! It sounds like the top room could do with a fix on...

It's very basic, but then its only £20 per night. There could be more loos and although there are several showers they are all in one shared facility, which is fine if you are a large party of blokes together. On the plus side the staff are very helpful and the place is warm. The cooking facilities for self catering...

I spent my first hour in Betws-y-Coed (a truly beautiful place to visit) searching for a place to stay as this place was the most dismal, disgusting place I had ever set foot in. It stank... really really stank. No excuse for this place - I stay in hostels a lot and this one beats everything else for skankiness!!

Really shocked and sorry to read this review. The Vagabond is cleaned twice a day so I really can't understand your comments. When did you stay with us? Can you please call us 01690 710850 and speak to any member of staff to let them know what happened. Kind regards The Vagabond team.

This review needs to be put into context: we paid £19 pp for one night, so the Hilton is not what we were promised or expected. However, my friend and I both left feeling pretty underwhelmed. Arrived to find that the dry room, where we needed to dry our wet cycling clothes, was under a few inches of water after...

Ample showers and toilets, good kitchen, only issue was breakfast being an hour late each day we stayed, which is a real hindrance when you've made plans. We were able to add a further mattress to our room which helped accommodate a last minute friend.

We stayed here over New Year and found it clean, tidy and functional. Wifi was a bit ropey but thats the area i think. Fantastic base to go and explore what Snowdonia has to offer, get back have a hot shower and a well earned beer in the bar. Disappointed to read the group from Nottingham whom stayed the same...

We visited Betws-y-Coed to take part in some of the outdoor activities in the area and this bunkhouse was ideal. The bunkhouse nothing extravagant, but perfect what the kind of trip we were having. We shared a room which slept 5, two bunks, one for 3 and the other for 2. Breakfast was provided in the morning which was lovely,...

I found this bunkhouse to be excellent. A little bit cold at times as one over reviewer noted, but it was -6 outside which is fairly extreme. Great location and friendly staff. Good value for money. Large rooms of traveling with families.

Where do I start? This place is a lovely old house in a beautiful place. We were part of a large group and had room 2 which was quite nice ( but felt damp when the heating was off) , with one bunk and one bunk bed with double at bottom with foam mattresses. However our friends had room 1...
