Stayed here with my girlfriend - it's right in the centre of the village, but with no parking available; this hotel looks great from the outside but is so dated inside - woodchip and damp aren't my favourite combination for room decor when coupled with broken tiles and tatty fixtures. Bed was comfy or else there would have been one...

Great local pub with very friendly staff. Dogs particular enjoyed the roaring fire and warm welcome. Price of beer though is high as is the norm for Beddgelert being on the tourist map. Still trying to work out why this Robinsons pub accepts dogs through the door yet the same company pub Tanronnen about 50yds away does not...

Before going I had read the other tripadvisor reviews and regretted my booking but we arrived about 7pm and the staff were lovely and welcoming, showed to our room which had a great (and very comfy) big bed, sink, storage and bathroom. Yes the decor was tired, yes it could have done with a new shower curtain and it would...

Arrived at the PL Hotel Friday afternoon with two mates. We were greeted at the bar and our booking was confirmed. We were asked to pay our three nights B&B up front , so we each parted with £125 which we thought was a good price. We were then taken to our room. That's about as good as it got...

Arrived on Friday afternoon, checked into the room. Went to use the toilet and the floor was muddy, then had to flush the toilet as it had been used, there was a small remainder of one toilet roll left, looked into the shower and the toiletries were discarded in the shower from the previous occupant, mould all around the shower...

I have never written a review before but just had to warn people about staying here. This is undoubtedly the worst place that I have ever stayed in. The hotel is not only tired but disgustingly filthy and my room was almost derelict. Other residents were also vocal about how dirty the hotel was and described excretion all around their...

The beds are extremely comfy! I appreciate that work is ongoing with regards to the accommodation however there are a couple of small/minor things which could be done now to improve overall experience (i.e. Dusting away the cobwebs, getting rid of the mould in the bathroom, and removing the mouldy curtains. Continental breakfast offered a good choice (e.g. Four cereals,...

Stopped here for food, 1 person working the bar who was in no rush whatsoever. Very limited food menu but we were starving after a long day's activities. Ordered food at 6.26pm as batman wrote it on the order, food turned up at 7.24pm. We only order pie and chips. It was just pie chips and peas when it arrived,...

Dangerous burnt out sockets. Wires sticking out of wall next to kids bunk. Wrapped in insulation tape. Broken creaky kids bunk bed. Room not been cleaned before we got it. No towels or milk, coffee refill provided unless you ask. Moldy bath with slow running hot water. Rooms look incredibly tired and dated. Not impressed on the whole. Shame as snowdonia...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
I Have recently taken this Hotel over in the past few months as a manager to accomodate for better standards and keeping up our reputation for excellent traditional quality locally produced food at a reasonable price with a good selection on the children's menu and an outstanding reputation for real ale, lagers, ciders and a selection of fine wines. We are renound for being a children and dog friendly hotel and we are now working on our rooms re-decorating them but they all have a new comfortable bed with fresh linen and a flat screen TV with built in DVD player to make your stay as cosy as possible for a budget priced hotel. ... more   less
