the whole experience was really enjoyable with helpful staff, great service and really excellent food topped off with a well stocked bar. the rooms could do with a little update but nothing to take away the old world charm of the place

My husband booked our stay here and I was a little but worried when I read some of the reviews. I was pleasantly surprised OK the decor was not great but it is a small town hotel, it was homely, warm and comfortable. Some of the reviews claimed the plumbing not to be too good but the shower in our... More

Never been here to eat, but I've passed it hundreds of times so called in with elderly relatives and had a really nice buffet lunch. I think it was supposed to be for a private group but we got tagged onto the end so didn't turn free grub down. Great food, amazing atmosphere and a lovely village

My son and I were travelling around Wales after his 6 month stint playing rugby there. We wanted to check out Snowdon and were travelling from the Swansea area. We made it as far as Beddgelert and needed to stop for dinner and sleep. We arrived around 7 and they let us know that the kitchen was closing at 8:30... More

Stayed here for a night with my girlfriend and absolutely loved every minute. The drive there through the snowdonia mountain range was breathtaking and when we arrived at the hotel 1 hour early thinking we would have to kill time in the bar we were pleasantly surprised to be allowed to check in early. The reception staff were really helpful... More

We booked a night here literally on the day and travelled down to Bedgellert. The Royal Goat has a a real charm to it. We were there in November so christmas decs up and it did look very welcoming, warm and friendly. Had a room that accepts dogs but we had our own dog bed for our dog. Room was... More

On arrival at the hotel, I presented a printed e-mail of the booking acknowledgement which I had received for 'superior' Room 6 for the 7th and 8th November. I was shocked to hear their claim that the computer network had crashed and that they had lost all bookings for our weekend! I had booked this particular room as we had... More

Travelled with a coach tour and arrived very late due road work delays but the staff were all still waiting for us and gave us a very warm welcome. The food was excellent and plentiful and very pleasant local entertainment provided each night after dinner. This is a charming old Victorian hotel situated, very conveniently in the heart of Snowdonia.... More

I stayed with a small group for five nights. The hotel is very comfortable. My room was very large with a newly fitted bathroom. The lounge and breakfast rooms are beautifully decorated but other areas are a little dated. However, they are very clean and well furnished. There was a good choice of dishes for the evening meal and all the... More
