We stayed at the Monraven in June, 2016. The owners were a lovely, welcoming couple. The rooms were all clean, neat and charming. Our group of 8 took up 3 rooms. Everyone was very happy with their accommodations. Our ensuite bathrooms were spotless. Our morning breakfast was perfect- nothing fancy, just a good simple meal- perfect for our day of... More

This is an exceptionally good guesthouse. It is very clean, bright, new decor, bedding, curtains etc. Owners are friendly and helpful. Parking is Ok outside. A few minutes drive to the ferry port. Decent pub/hotel serving food nearby. Recommended.

A lovely quiet guest house that we stay in regularly. Rooms are spotless and John and Joan couldn't be more friendly. A handy place to walk to the beach and Holyhead Marina and perfect if you need a stay over for the ferry.

Nicely situated hotel just up from the town centre. Also handy to get to South Stack and the promenade overlooking the marina. We only stayed one night prior to sailing to Dublin but would not hesitate to stay there again. The owners are really nice people. The rooms are clean and well furnished. Nice airy dining room. Only a couple... More

We booked two rooms, the are not big but you have everything you need. Rooms are clean, so a perfect place to stay for one night when you make a cross over with the ferry from or to Ireland. We received a warm and friendly welcome and information for where to go in the evening. A pleasant experience

The guest house is on a quiet street, on easy walking distance to Holyhead's tiny city center. The room was small, but nice. Continental breakfast in the morning was good enough, the owner is very friendly. We only stayed one night and took the ferry to Ireland in the morning. It's a 5 minute drive to the docks. I wouldn't... More

We arrived quite early at the B&B (around 2pm) and check in was possible, the room was already ready! Excellent surprise! We were explained how everything worked and the time of the check out was at 10am however we could stay in the TV room as long as we wanted to after that, and I think that's a plus for... More

Went for an impromptu night away with my other half and stayed here as it was cheap and easy to get to. Room was pleasant, clean and functional. Bathroom was a bit on the small side, the other half could barely get in the shower. We paid the extra £4 each for the cooked breakfast and it was definitely worth... More

We recently stayed at the Monravon for one night before starting out on the Anglesey Coastal path. The B&B is ideally located within easy walking distance of Holyhead "town centre" and several pubs and eateries. Our room was large, well kept and clean. It's not a modern B&B but it is more than adequate for a short stay. Breakfast in... More
