This hotel was the biggest disappointment of my recent trip to the UK. The rooms were large enough, but quite shabby. The hotel website does not accurately depict what you actually get. I was thinking that this would be a highlight of the trip, but it was a disappointment. The food was excellent, but the desk service and the food...

Although this is a new review, I don't know whether they stayed recently? In the last three months, we've updated a third of our bedrooms and remodelled our restaurant and lounge (now called 'The Snug') The images on the website were actually taken by a Google photographer for their 'Street View' facility - you can actually walk round the hotel...

With so many five star ratings where to start? Reception, so genuinely warm and helpful. Superb room facing the Castle and to the right a beautiful church, possibly linked in history. As for dining and choice, second to none, well sourced local produce and possibly the best rump I have eaten!! We were, by all the staff made to feel...

One thing you have to remember is that you are within the castle walls and you are paying a premium for that. The hotel is superb and staff outstanding. Yes, we were asked to close our tab at closing orders but when we said we were residents we were allowed extra time. Conwy is a sleepy town and shops close...

Staff were very helpful with our bags, friendly and enthusiastic service. Our room had floodlit views of the 700-year-old castle from a building with an equally long history. The dining-room was newly re-decorated and still shows the quirky paintings by John Dawson-Watson which have hung there since the 19th century. We also enjoyed Christmas shopping in the nearby small shops....

This was our sixth stay at the beautiful and comfortable Castle Hotel. I simply cannot say enough about this fantastic experience. Every employee is friendly, helpful and polite. The rooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated and the food in the restaurant is superb. I will keep coming back on most of our trips to the UK. It is a vacation...

Thank you so much for your very kind review - more importantly thank you for your very generous custom! Sixth visit and all the way from California! I'm delighted that you enjoy our inn so much; our beautiful little town and lovely surrounding countryside. We look forward to your next visit. Happy Holidays!

Stayed recently for a family weekend break. After a little trouble trying to get a parking space, we were given a warm welcome by the reception staff. Our rooms were fine if a little on the dark side and wifi didnt reach here, but they were very clean and had a good full size kettle plus complimentary bottles of water....

stayed here many times before, great location, loads of character and very friendly/helpful staff. Rooms are clean and comfortable and in keeping with its old world charm. Large car park onsite and lovely bar restaurant area although we only had breakfast this was good quality and plentiful . The hotel is central in Conwy with its castle and many bars/cafes...

We had a nice room in a nice town in a very scenic part of the country. There's a great castle in Conwy and a walk along the water that's very picturesque. You can walk anywhere. There's restaurant in the hotel that serves excellent food, with first-rate staff.
