Stayed recently for a one night mid week break, super setting, excellent food ( afternoon cream tea, 7 course tasting dinner and full Welsh breakfast - everything was sourced locally where possible ), and great service. Highly recommended.

Stayed overnight on a Travelzoo deal. The positives - beautiful location and surroundings. Impressive country style manor (from the outside!). Superb evening meal - Taster Menu. Lovely roaring fire in lounge area. Pleasant restaurant with a nice ambiance. Tasty cooked breakfast. Friendly staff albeit very few of them! Comfortable large bed with white linen. Once we'd overcome the little problem of checking in.....had to wait for a good 10 minutes....we deposited our belongings in the room and headed back downstairs for afternoon tea. This was lovely & eaten in front of an open fire. The room was good, with great views over the pond towards the little church. Very comfortable and well-supplied with all...

Went for a family afternoon tea today. The location is excellent for us as it is only 10 minutes away. We went there for lunch about 12 years ago and the fact it has taken us that long to come back here says something. The location is wonderful and I can imagine that on a nice spring day or summer...

Stayed here on a Travelzoo offer which represented tremendous value - and allowed us to enjoy a superb tasting menu. Every course was ridiculously good. Room was really nice too, and service was warm and friendly from every staff member. Great location too - perfect place to get away from it all. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

A very enjoyable two night stay with a fabulous 7 course taster menu on the first night. Friendly staff in all departments, from reception, lounge, bar & restaurant. Asked for and received an upgrade to the Raglan suite, with twin aspect views over the grounds. Walled garden not in production at this time, but should be wonderful in summer and...

Spent a wonderful 24 hours here starting with a delicious scone, welsh cake and tea overlooking the lawn, followed by a few hours relaxing in our spacious suite (Room 4) then a superb taster menu and coffee in the lounge in front of a roaring fire. The next morning a bracing walk in the stunning grounds taking in the lake...

We took my husbands dad and his partner here on a travelzoo deal, you are never quite sure what to expect when you book a deal but this exceeded our expectations. The hotel and grounds are lovely, the staff were all really helpful and friendly. The rooms were a good size and very comfortable with lovely views across the grounds....
