To round off a long day's drive, we had a room booked at the Kings Arms. On arrival, we stepped back in time into a suite; a long room, with exposed beams, niches, a bathing, seating and sleeping area, at the top of the building. Beautiful. Clean. Comfy. The accommodation was so nice, that after a scout around Abergavenny -...

We had a few days in Wales recently and travelled around booking each night as we decided where to stay. Drove into Abergavenny and after a stroll around the little town we wandered into the Kings Arms to see if they had a room for the night. They did, it was an attic room and not large but extremely clean,...

When visiting Abergavenny a meal here is a must. We booked a table for an evening meal. The staff are lovely, friendly and very welcoming. Our food was amazing, plenty to eat. Price per head is very good.

I booked the 4 poster room for our wedding anniversary, slightly wary of other reviews about noise but most stated it finished by 7pm. Not true. On arrival there was very loud live music in the bar area & a considerable number of revellers; the Receptionist told me she thought it was going on to 11pm?! We checked into our...

Stopped at Kings Arms in Abergavenny on the way up to Welshpool. Lunch very reasonably priced. Good choice of food, comfortable surroundings and polite service. This is our second visit and it did not disappoint.

This was our second visit to the restaurant. The first time was on Mothers Day and both the food and the service were excellent. We returned last Sunday for lunch and were served by 2 different waitresses. The one who served us predominantly was the rudest waitress I've ever met. She slammed things down on the table, banged furniture around...

Held a business team meeting at The Kings Arms. Used their meeting room facilities, stayed overnight, with meetings during the days. Staff couldn't have been more helpful in arranging, or more attentive whilst we were there. Excellent food and beers. Comfortable and characterful rooms and public areas. Highly recommended.

Came here for the writing festival last weekend. Came from South Wales, so wasn't much of a journey. But the place was easy to find, just down the road from a parking lot. The Kings Arm was so lush and cosy you'd never think it would be. So lovely. Could have been more choice of food on the menu but...

Family room was fine. Evening meal far from that. Seafood stew contained fish so over cooked it was hard to chew, didn't complain because my son was in tears over his meal which frankly was burnt and inedible, my wife asked for a rare steak that came out at best medium/well. Daughter had a children's meal which she enjoyed -...

We ate here for lunch today, and it was fantastic. A great choice of food on the menu, and really reasonably priced. The presentation of the food was beautiful! We finished our meal in the restaurant, and headed to the bar where there was live music from 4pm, which was brilliant. Overall it was a fantastic experience, and would definitely...
