We didn't stay here, but have eaten in the restaurant several times over the past few years. The service is always friendly and professional the environment is historic and quirky and the food excellent. Crab salad was fresh as a daisy!

Quirky is what we excel at the Black Boy. Thank you for the review.
Only popped in for coffee in the morning and found it fascinating inside. Worth a visit. Coffee ok but no savoury snack eg toasted teacake, only scone jam and cream.
Looked like it might be a nice place to stay.
