I have to congratulate and thank the Celtic Royal Hotel (especially Sian) for the excellent reception arrangements received from our recent wedding. Despite the Covid restrictions our little room arranged to one side was beautifully prepared and organised and could not have asked for a more intimate and enjoyable get together to finish off the perfect day - Thank You again Celtic Royal for everything :-) p.s. have been recommending it to potential guests

Generally, the hotel is dated, although some would argue that it adds to the charm. Personally, I felt like very little cash is reinvested to make it look half decent. The room was ok, just very dated and desperately in need of refurbishment. Bathroom acceptable and functional. The view from the window was really appalling - roof tops with ventilation units on top. Depressing outlook. The breakfast was very average. Not enough staff and didn’t seem well organized. Had an evening meal in the restaurant. Reasonably priced and not at all bad, but it felt like eating in a bar rather than a restaurant. Would I go back ??? , not really sure, which isn’t a glowing recommendation.

Arriving in the dark after a long drive, parking was easy and checking in was efficient and friendly. Our room was large and comfortable. Dinner in the bar and breakfast in the restaurant were excellent and good value. Less than five minutes walk to the centre of the old town, ideal for a stroll at any time of day. Only regret is not having time to try out the pool and leisure facilities

Great hotel, customer service was excellent. Food was really good. Breakfast was amazing. Location of this hotel is a short walk from the centre surrounded by lovely scenery. We visited the pool and that was very clean and very relaxing , would recommend this hotel ! Close to Snowdon mountain. The only thing I would say is that the rooms are a little outdated. But still very clean and very relaxing..

This place is in a great location close to bars/restaurants and the castle. Rooms are clean and spacious. The building itself is lovely and staff are friendly and helpful. Only criticism I have and why I only gave it 4*'s is our breakfast was either lukewarm or borderline cold, did mention it on 2nd day but still didn't get hot breakfast for the next 2 days. The Bar area also lacks atmosphere but otherwise a great place to stay.
