Owner Jan sets the scene for a great stay. As a host she is nothing less that perfect. The place is spotlessly clean with white bedlinen and towels. Breakfast is fabulous and served in a magnificent dining room. In fact this part of the house is a bit like a bit of a mini stately home. It is really special. Jan has worked hard to achieve an official 5 star rating - and it shows. Parking is free (with a parking disc IF necessary), and for us was never more that a 5 minute walk away. Overall, a great place to stay and would be my number one place to go back to again.

Hi Mike, Thanks for taking the time to review your stay. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your time with us & appreciated the ambience we strive to achieve. I love the dinning room too although I wasn't too keen on it when we were sanding the wooden floors haha!! Take care & keep safe. With best regards, Jan & team

Myself and my husband have just spent three nights at this lovely little B&B. Comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast, lovely little terrace at the back on which we had a drink each evening. Jan and her staff could not have been more accommodating, the attention to detail that they have is amazing. Cannot fault one bit.

So I left a review on booking and only the title was there and feel it’s a complete injustice to Jan and the team. Just fantastic, Jan works so hard in this quirky B&B- located inside the castle wall. Parking looks an issue but lovely Jan moved her own car for us, really nothing too much trouble. I seriously suggest booking restaurants beforehand but this could be due to Wales just coming out of restrictions. So many extras, fudge, every drink you could think of ( non alcoholic) in your room, conditioner ( which a lot of places don’t provide). Microwave, fridge, plates, cutlery and even a usb charging dock for daft heads like me who forget the plug. We missed breakfast on the first morning as we overslept and Jan left a replenishing box (with more fudge too) outside our room and texted to check we were ok, we really did oversleep, but that has to be down to the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in and we travel a lot, just sensory heaven. Jan also advises on local attractions and offers to book them too. As nice cheeky welcome drink of choice on arrival just reduces the stress of the M6 on a Friday. The the breakfast we had was pleasant and although pre ordered the night before, absolutely no issue if changed on the morning. No buffet due to restrictions but they are even on the menu, so no scrimping at all. We would recommend to everyone and would stay again even if our attractions were out of area. Both were combining our 50th birthdays which we didn’t mention until afterwards because I absolutely have no doubt even more extras would have ensured we celebrated in style but we wanted low key.. Thank you Jan, you know we will be back.

Easy check in - very informative. Parking debatable but permit supplied if required. Room was lovely - spacious and well equipped. Bathroom also spacious with lovely whirlpool bath. Nice decor. Have given honest feedback direct to owners about the couple of mishaps at breakfast - the reason I did not rate this higher. Great base to visit North Wales - recommend to pre book restaurants for meals in advance. Thank you ladies at Victoria House for the welcome and friendliness throughout our stay.

Hi Bev, Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback, we do appreciate it. We are pleased you enjoyed the facilities and layout of the bedroom, and the service given by the staff. As we mentioned in our message back regarding the breakfast we have taken measures to hopefully prevent them happening again. We do have access to free, unrestricted on-street parking, but being a walled town this is only available on a first come, first served basis. This is why we also offer the permit for 2 other nearby Pay and Display car parks. Best Regards, Jan & Team at Victoria House

Great location, lovely characterful rooms, very friendly and helpful host and her team. Great breakfast choices. Free parking permits with some free spaces outside the accommodation and other car parks within a 7 minute walk. Close to some good pubs restaurants and cafes and has access to a seating area on the town walls with views of the castle and Anglesey. Highly recommended
