The hotel has a great location - quiet cul the sac at the end of the beach promenade, ca 7 minutes walk from the railway station. We booked the room with the sea view at the first floor - it was a bit outdated but clean and very spacious (the last is quite an exception in UK). The sea view...

Good/excellent points. Parking right outside on seafront 4 hours free from 8-6. So if parking after 2pm you can leave your car there overnight and up to 12 the next day. Good sized room with sea view. Shower could have been more powerful but it was ok. Friendly staff. Lovely pub downstairs. They let me stay after breakfast, to work...

I stayed there for three nights and really appreciated the exquisite courtesy of the staff and the excellent tipical welsh breakfast. The room was very heated, very clean and new towels every day. The hotel is not far from the station and in a beautiful landscape..

It had a wonderful view of the sea and sunsets!! It was only a couple of blocks from the Cliff Railway. It is also within walking distance of the Train Station and the Vale of Rheidol miniature gauge railroad to Devil's Bridge. The Staff were extremely helpful. Dinner was good as was breakfast.

Booked the Glengower for a long weekend last weekend. On arrival at 1pm on the Friday we were pleased to be told our room was ready for us. We had a seaview and a large double room which was very comfortable. The tv was on the small side could do with a larger screen due to size of room. Breakfast...

Booked for one night as from the pictures it looked decent enough. Indeed the position on the promenade is excellent, not too far from the centre, the views are outstanding.....the pub has a good atmosphere, good ales and a relaxing 'gentleman's club' look. The food was a mixed affair: starter of butternut squash soup and goat cheese salad were very...

There are many B&Bs in Aberystwyth but hardly any proper hotels. The Glengower is the closest so far and is in a lovely location on the promenade. The room was big enough and the bathroom looked new with a good shower, fluffy towels and toiletries. The bed was comfortable and we had a sea view. The breakfast was excellent and...

Situated right on the seafront this is a place with an excellent range of real ales which are beautifully kept. The food is also excellent and there is a good selection. Watching the sea come in during the winter whilst you are in the warm is a joy. We will be going again.

The Glengower is a very popular seafront bar with rustic charm, we stayed there before Christmas 3 nights split over 2 weeks. Move up to the rooms it's another world. The first room lovely view but so dated the furnishings are shoddy, poor bathroom fittings. With no lift either so you need to aware of the steep stairs. Second room...
