I booked this hotel through a secret escapes link for our 25th wedding anniversary for two nights On arrival our car was parked for us and we had the Broadway Suite in the old wing which oozed character with our own lounge and four poster bed, bathroom and cloakroom. The first night we ate in the grand dining hall and...

A beautiful hotel serving excellent food by staff who were totally professional whilst being friendly and helpful - quite delightful. Meals were well paced, even the busy breakfast period. Would love to return.

You couldn't wish for a lovelier facade, as you approach the Lygon Arms with your car full of cases and hopes, you think you have found heaven at last. Sadly there is too much facade and too little content. The food is shockingly bad, it follows some outdated ideas of presentation with meaningless and tasteless bits of plate decoration. We...

Dear Jacqueline B, It is disheartening to learn that your evening meal and also the service you received in the restaurant let down your stay here. I can assure you this is not of our usual high standards. We usually receive great feedback regarding the restaurant and I am sorry that this was not the case for you on this...

We had a romantic weekend to get engaged and the Lygon Arms was perfect. Welcoming staff, a beautiful hotel in a lovely location. The room was not massive, but it is an old building, and it was well appointed and comfortable. Nice to have the use of the Spa as well.

Amazing staff, great location. Food fabulous. Great value for money with secret escapes. Met up with two other couples to celebrate birthday. All of us loved our rooms and our meals. Cooked breakfast was also superb, with the best make-your-own muesli I've ever had. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely return.

I visited with my daughter to enjoy a spa day for my birthday. I had a signature spa day package while my daughter had a day booster package. We struggle to find nice places to stay as we usually travel with our Labrador. The Lygon Arms was a real treat for us - beautiful old buildings, fantastic spa, delicious food and a very cosy room. We went for our 30th Wedding Anniversary and were not disappointed. Centrally located in Broadway, it is lovely hotel where the staff are very eager to help. We booked a suite which was very big and very 'olde worlde', just what we were looking for. Breakfast was great, and dinner was excellent, with great service. Will definitely be back.

Eleven of us stayed here to celebrate my parents' golden wedding anniversary. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Imagine a hotel where roaring log-burning open fireplaces hint at its roots dating from the 1300's. Picture a Great Hall Restaurant with a vaulted ceiling and original wood panelling built in the seventeenth century. Visit a hotel that has been coloured by the characters of history. At The Lygon Arms, with its 78 rooms you can stay in the suite that King Charles I once stayed in the night before the Battles of Worcester in 1651. See the carvings of John Travis' name on the arch of the front door, etched into the hotel's history in 1620. An historic hotel in the heart of Broadway with a typically Cotswolds history. Dine in The Great Hall, Barringtons our typical all day dining brasserie or have lunch, a coffee or a Cotswold Gin and Tonic in one of our many lounges. A spa , swimming pool and The Lygon Gardens await you but most importantly the team look forward to welcoming you. . ... more   less
