Stayed 4 nights due to work commitments. Felt welcome from the moment I walked through the door. Lovely spacious room with flat screen freeview TV and free WiFi. Free parking to front and rear of the hotel (main car park at the rear). Staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make sure your needs are met....

Just stayed here one night on business. Arrived early and found the welcome a bit odd. I was directed to the room by a route that was in pitch darkness. The appearance of the hotel is not great - looks rather run down, and the wifi didnt work to begin with. However, the room itself was fine - actually quite...

for a non chain hotel this is a nice place to stay. the restaurant is excellent, bar has a good variety of beers too. Rooms are clean and a good size, bathrooms are quaint and consistent with the age of the building Breakfast, Wifi and parking are included and staff are helpful.

We stayed at this hotel as a last minute getaway for my birthday treat. Easy to find and only 45 minutes from home, we weren't expecting the Ritz, so were pleasantly surprised by the warm greeting at this old fashioned hotel. Room was large and clean and very comfortable, though the bed was a tad small for us. Bar meal...

I stayed at this hotel without knowing anything about it as I had been let down by another local hotel. My experience was very satisfactory in particular the room was clean and comfortable with all of the necessary requirements. The staff were friendly and helpful and made my one night stay very comfortable. I had an evening meal in the...

Working in the area and based on their website thought this looked like an excellent place to stay. How wrong you can be. Both check in and check out were an appalling experience with some members of staff desperately needing some retraining. Room: supposed to be luxury but very outdated, freezing and in need of some urgent TLC. Restaurant: what...

Super staff and a warm welcome. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. I would recommend this to any traveller who is fed up with the faceless corporate chain hotels and wants a bit of genuine service.

I've stayed here a few times now, the staff is always so welcoming! Gill is incredible always feel I'm going to visit my family rather then stay in a hotel! The rooms are perfect size, always clean and tidy. My favourite place out of all!

On the positive side the room was immaculate and well enough equipped but it might have been a good idea to have a chair that is suited to the desk, I had to sit in bed with my laptop on my lap, I know that it is a laptop but it is not easy to work this way. The bathroom...

Stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago, with a KGB deal. Hotel was quiet as, due to snowy weather, several folk had been unable to get there. The staff were very nice, particularly Roy, who was really pleasant and welcoming, and a good chef to match - thank you. Breakfasts were good, freshly cooked and nicely presented. We also...
