I booked a 2 night stay for a weekend break. The room allocated was on the 5th floor in the eaves. It was small to say the least, the carpets were dirty and the bathroom may have once been luxurious, now had many cracked tiles. The tray with kettle was placed on the dressing table, however there was no socket...

Beautiful room and bathroom. Products from l'occitane and plenty of complimentary tea coffee and biscuits! Hotel ideally situated to station, gym and city centre. Staff very accommodating and use of local Virgin gym and pool was a bonus

I absolutely loved my room when I stayed here one of my favourite hotel rooms to date ! The ceiling was nice and high the bed was very comfy! We even had a little corridor in the hotel room which made the whole stay feel homely and spacious. I would stay again however the only downfall of the whole stay...

We stayed here last Saturday to Monday, we booked a deluxe room. On arrival the hotel is impressive, it's a two minute walk from the train station and is a beautiful building, with ornate red brickwork and an imposing entrance, with a curved staircase and stained glass windows, the bar is immediately to the left on entry, which is small...

Stayed here for one night in a Deluxe room. Our room wasn't ready as we were a little early, so we left our cases and went shopping, on returning our cases had been put into our room, which was a nice touch. The first thing that struck me was that is was a bit 'tired' looking. The room was a...

We stayed here on a Sunday night in one of the executive doubles. The king size bed was so huge, I thought I had lost my husband during the night, but it was so comfortable i didn't care. Great big high ceilings, luxurious bedding. A nice seating area. A ginormous bath. We just loved it. Would definitely stay again. Next...

Stayed here for one night in one of the suites. It seamed slightly dated with the furniture now looking like it could do with a replacement and the room a refresh. A pleasant enough stay, bar man was really friendly and chatty. Did not eat here so can't comment on food. They so take a £50 bond at checkin from...

Fantastic location, just off city square and more or less opposite the train station. Staff friendly and helpful, checked in very early on the day so room wasn't ready. However, when we did eventually return to the hotel our cases had been placed in our room. Room was clean, with great bathroom amenities and a huge comfy bed. Free Wi-Fi...

The hotel was beautiful and very clean. Lots of character to the room and high quality tea, coffee etc. We had breakfast the next day but waited an hour for it from ordering. Not one member of staff seemed very bothered by our complaints. Although location and the hotel was perfect. I would not return because of this. Its a...
