Spent three nights in this hotel and were extremely impressed with all aspects of our stay. I had booked us in to a premium double but, upon letting ourselves into our room, was delighted to see that we had been given one of the lovely four-poster ones which was very spacious…
A fine historic hotel with many great period features. Many of the rooms are very large, and have recently re-fitted bathrooms. Good service, and a very decent breakfast, with a good selection of foods.
We had a lovely stay at The Midland. Room was very clean and tidy, all of the staff we encountered had very much a “can do” attitude and the hotel is very accommodating towards children. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were very attentive and welcoming.
We had a Groupon voucher which I bought for my wife for Christmas so we booked in fir afternoon tea on a Sunday (230pm). We went through to a bar area and then told our table was out in the hotel lobby area which seemed a little odd. There were 2 or 3 other couples already in…
Hotel is in good location but room was tired and dated. Bed was comfortable but carpet was dirty I had to keep my socks on. Breakfast was poor, I opted for fried bread with cheese and fruit. The cooked food looked far from appetising.
"Speak to the reception staff and take their recommendations. You will not be disappointed."
"Good free parking but access has stairs."
"Ask for what you need - they will accommodate you well"
"Not sure, ours was fine quiet!!!"
"All rooms good"
