Excellent Hotel, well within walking distance of the Bullring, New Street Station, Rag market and Chinatown. Staff were efficient and very helpful. Breakfast was great with a nice selection of dishes on offer. Only one grip, could do with some TLC, chips on cupboard in bedroom, tap in bath very slow and carpet looks like is could do with a...

I have attended a wine tasting event put together by the Nico, the Head Sommelier of this hotel. Very intimate event with an amazing selection of wines and a great experience all around. Nico was very knowledgable and approachable and it definitely improved my knowledge of wine. Having been a member of Health du Vin (the gym and spa facilities)...

The best thing about the hotel is its location in the centre of Birmingham a short walk from the Jewellery quarter and from the shopping areas and cathedral in the opposite direction. Parking is problematic with just a few free places outside the hotel, otherwise it's valet parking or use of a public car park round the corner. The hotel...

We spent two nights in b'ham at the hotel and our experience was excellent. We had afternoon tea in the bar which was brilliant and breakfast each morning. Our room was 'Pol Roger' and it was HUGE!!! A giant bathroom with roll top bath and a shower the size of our utility room. A luxurious king size bed and everything...

I stayed here for a birthday surprise - we got upgraded to the suite, which was an impressive size. Extremely clean, great mini bar that comes with a decent price tag. Water provided, a lot of snacks again with a price tag. Loved the bath and great walk in shower. The bed was amazing!! Great nights sleep, very comfortable, clean,...

Part business, part pleasure, my visit to Birmingham was the first in around forty years. I had absolutely no idea where to stay but I wanted to be close to the train station, close to the shopping, and walking distance from the excellent City Art Gallery. Step forward the delightful Hotel du Vin! It works! Friendly staff, an appealing restaurant,...

Love to pop into HdV for drinks when around the Cathedral / Colmore Row in Birmingham. It's shabby opulence and decadent style is lovely and the quality of drinks is always fantastic, plus there is a wide range of bubbly available by the glass. There are some nice touches, table service or assisted table service is widely offered and the...

I visited here with friends for afternoon tea, the finger sandwiches were all freshly made as where the cakes all of which was delicious, we chose out tea and when we ran out we were filled back up again. Service was great and the decor was beautiful too.! I'd highly recommend this for afternoon tea

Can always be relied on to enjoy some great wine without the townie element of Birmingham. Too many places are all about the numbers as opposed to great service. Almost perfect but for the pricing which is a little to high to spend an evening.
