The Ibis Styles Birmingham Centre is often commended for its service, with guests frequently praising the friendly staff and their efficiency in problem-solving, although the breakfast service has occasionally come under scrutiny. The hotel's prime location is a hit with many travelers, offering easy access to attractions and transport, not to mention secure parking.
While the rooms are sometimes described as basic, their cleanliness and comfort are widely appreciated, as are the hotel's amenities, including the comfortable beds and the complimentary refreshments, despite some remarks about the quality of breakfast and coffee.

Detailed Reviews
Currently working away from home in Birmingham and the Ibis has been the perfect location to stay in 2/3 nights a week. It is walking distance to both the Jewellery Quarter and New Street. In the 4 months that I have been coming back and forth the staff have always been extremely accommodating and friendly.
Rooms are fitted with both A/C & heater so you can make the room the perfect temperature. Beds are comfortable and the shower is high pressure with constant hot water.
For people looking for somewhere to stay on business I cannot recommend the Ibis Styles more.

Ibis Styles exceeded my expectations. Location is great, within walking distance from all the main attractions; breakfast good, could offer a bigger variety, but no complaints there. Bedroom and bathroom super clean, mattress could be firmer and shower pressure higher, but overall, quiet and comfy stay. Complimentary coffee and tea - nice touch! Lovely mini holiday, great value for money!

We stayed here for one night this weekend. The location is super close to the station and city centre, a 10 mins walk and really straight forward. It's tucked down a side road that's a bit intimidating at night but is on the corner of a bright, comforting main road.
The staff on arrival were great. Friendly, joking and informative. Check in was quick.
The hotel itself is having a bit of a face lift downstairs but in general is a tad tired. The lift had an odd smell, the corridor on the 3rd floor stank of urine. The room itself was basic but absolutely what you need. Comfy bed, TV, the bathroom was really big and shower decent.
The downside to our room was it had no window due to adjoining a roof so i assume to avoid people climbing out and being a family room. However the aircon we found to either not work or be totally useless. if they hadn't put a fan in the room we'd have struggled.
Breakfast was included in the price and again, super basic but just what you need. Bacon, sausage, egg, beans, toast (prepare to queue a while), cereals and jams, croissants tea, coffee, juice. the drinks weren't very nice and as i say queueing for toast is a pain, especially as you're only allotted half hour to eat.
The staff again were super friendly, constantly clearing tables and refilling.
If in the area again, we would stay again as it's perfect for a night or 2.

We payed £102 to stay at this hotel for one night! Fair enough the bed was comfy. We went to go and have a shower and was given hand towels to use to dry ourselves, we couldn’t even shower properly because there was literally no power at all it wasn’t hot. It claims free WiFi but I had to use my data the whole time because the WiFi wasn’t working. It also stated that breakfast was included but when we went down to breakfast, the bacon was hard and tasted as though it had been left there for hours and hours, there wasn’t enough beans for both of us to have. There wasn’t a selection at all! I am so disappointed that we have waisted £102 to stay in this location and the value wasn’t worth it at all!

Great location, lovley rooms, comfortable big bed, staff friendly enough. Breakfast is now a take away bag with a quason, cheese, jam, a yougurt, cereal bar and a orange.
But we really did not enjoy out 3 night stay and I could not consider ever staying here again all because the windows in all rooms do not open at all they are just a fixed peace of glass with a tiny air vent at the top Wich let's no air flow into the room what so ever and the iarcon does not blow cold air at all was more warm air coming in rather than anything cold. It was very hot few days especially when sun was on the window. They offered us a desk top fan Wich helped a little.
Just so glad to now be home.

Location is good, close to all the major venues we wanted to visit
Room basic but clean and fuctional
Bathroom small but with everything you needed the shower could blast the dirt off you which was great.
Brekkie filled a hole.
Over good stay good value for money

On arrival we used the underground car park that is manned 24hrs by a security guard and will cost you £13 overnight.
We checked in and was asked the reason for our stay and explained we were celebrating our anniversary and the receptionist very kindly upgraded our room to a double which was a very large size.
Room was basic but had everything you needed, shower was a good size and worked really well (a rainfall shower which was a nice hot temperature).
Really friendly staff, great location would stay here again if in Birmingham.

Staff very friendly, check in/out smooth. Stayed in a family room, lovely and quiet, comfortable....but similar to other reviews a damaged toilet roll holder and low water pressure reducing in both temperature and pressure on occasions. Have to wonder is the damaged loo roll holder a feature of all rooms or is a coincidence???
Great coffee machine in reception, breakfast overall ok, with good choice. I just wish Ibis would improve their scrambled eggs, seem to be same dry concoction whichever one I stay in. Last stayed in a different Ibis 4 nights ago and they were just as bad.

We stayed here as a family during the Commonwealth games and were more than happy with the hotel. We stayed in a family room with a sofa bed made up for the children - perfect size for two toddlers but might be a squeeze for two older children. The room was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. The location is perfect and within walking distance to the City centre. Lovely walk along the canal to Brindley Place and Sealife Centre.
The hotel has its own underground car park which is a real bonus priced at £13 per night. Follow the one way system round to the rear of the hotel and you'll see the entrance. The hotel was full to capacity but still plenty of spaces. Tea and coffee facilities in the room, but we used the free drinks vending machine in reception instead. Good selection of drinks and available 24 hours. We added breakfast on the last morning and it was £9 per adult, children free. Good selection of cooked breakfast, cereals, continental. Overall a great stay and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we came to Birmingham again.

We booked this hotel as there was a car park on site and it was round the corner from Opheem restaurant. Two days before our visit we were informed that the boiler had broken and we were being moved to Staybridge Suites half a mile away.
The staff were very accommodating and said we could still use the car park and they would arrange taxi transfers to the other hotel.
We were amazed that not only did the hotel arrange taxi transfers between the hotels but also the restaurant. All four taxis paid for by Styles. When we came to collect our car the following morning we were not charged for parking.
What could have been a complete disaster was turned around by the helpfulness of the Styles staff. Well done to you all and especially Sasha,

It is still the case, the lift from the carpark only goes to the Reception floor, then you change lifts to go to the bedroom floors
No idea but was also a let down to be given a clean air fine for driving to and from the hotel totaling £120 which we were totally unaware about so will not be returning ever....
