We stayed in this hotel for a few nights and for all it was clean it was very, very dated. After a problem with the room key we were changed to a suite. It was nicer to have the extra space and the bed was extremely comfortable but the whole suite was tired and a little shabby. The bar/restaurant area...

A nice hotel but difficult to find due to building work taking place around Birmingham. we arrived earlier than expected but the charming lady receptionist kindly took our baggage and placed them in the cloak room. We had our lunch in the restaurant but was disappointed at the lack of vegetarian options. Breakfast and lunch the next day was self...

Just a 1 Night business trip was enough to make me realise I need to read TripAdvisor next time. Staff were great but the hotel feels like an old Nokia phone from the 90's..just doesn't have all the modern functionality you take for granted these days. Even PremierInn or dare I say Travelodge were this bad years ago, both of...

I recently met up with old friends and decided to stay at the Copthorne hotel as it is close to the station, canal side and shops. My room was well decorated and the bed was so comfortable it was hard to get out the following morning however the bathroom is in need of refurbishment but was very clean. The only...

Stayed in a twin room with friend on a sat night. Arrived and had confusion with receptionist over our booking which we'd done through Expedia. Sorted and up to room. Nice and clean room. Two comfy beds although mine seemed to be lower at the top than the bottom. Tv didn't work - called reception number of times and never...

I stayed here for one night and wasn't surprised at the standards at the hotel given the price. The decor is dated and the carpets need replacing, the breakfast was ok, but the coffee was rubbish and lukewarm. If you're looking for a cheap hotel, a stone's throw from broad street, with a comfy bed and a clean room, then...

Noisy location and difficult to get to. Surrounded by building works. My colleague had water dripping into his room, and he was on the second floor. We were told breakfast finished at 11am. but it actually stopped at 9:30. I have never experiences a large hotel that stopped serving food before 10am. Staff then argued.

Spend two days at the Copthorne at a business conference, food was good, staff friendly and helpful, one good thing was that it's waking distance for New Street, and the Bull Ring, good value hotel if you need a night or two in Birmingham

I feel ashamed if overseas visitors pick this hotel and then turn up expecting a 4 star experience. Nothing much wrong with the staff but it's about time the hotel itself is was knocked down and modernised - every aspect of the décor throughout the hotel is tired and might have been up to date 40 years ago, but not...

Hotel was well managed, clean, comfortable, good food and friendly staff. The city its self has many attractions including the rare Back to Back Houses, the city Library with superb vies of the city for the viewing platform on floor 9. The canal system is worth a trip, and behind the ICC building are numerous eating places
