This is a fine Holiday Inn. Have stayed here quite a few times while on business in Birmingham. It's very convenient for New Street station. Nice and central. However, if you want to sleep-late you'll likely be woken by the noisy (while I was there) renovation work to create a new reception etc. I don't think it's overly clear on...

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with my young son. Hotel is in a great location just a few metres away from train station and Bullring Complex. The hotel is currently being refurbished. I have to say this did not affect us so much except for the lifts where only one was working so we had huge delays...

This hotel is ideally located for the wonderful Hippodrome theatre (150 yards away), good shopping (we could see John Lewis from our room on the third floor) and New Street station (a five minute stroll). The room was clean, well-lit, and had a comfy bed with fresh linen. The bathroom was a decent size with an eficient shower and a...

The hotel is a building site, however, you aren't advised of this when making the booking, we were allocated Room 114, that's when it all went downhill, very fast. The room smelt and the shower room/toilet was even worse. The shower curtain hadn't seen the inside of a washing machine since it was hung on the rail. I complained and...

Having read the reviews on here, I would not have booked this hotel. Our friends booked it for us all to have a big shopping trip and weekend away in Birmingham. The location for access to shopping was brilliant, John Lewis was just across the road and straight into the new Grand Central shopping centre above New Street station and...

Typical Holiday Inn, rooms clean although a bit on the small size but the desk was more useful than most hotel desks (just seemed well designed and not cluttered). Good location. very close to the railway station. Hotel is undergoing renovations, I can live with that, but there is only one lift working so it is quicker to walk down...

In terms of expectations for a holiday inn, mine were met - admittedly it's a soulless hotel chain but nevertheless it's clean, modern and comfortable. Upon arrival one of the staff members could see I was struggling to carry my luggage up the stairs to reception and quickly offered to carry it for me. I really appreciated this. Thank you...

Booked into hotel for a weekend break with my partner. Read previous reviews which weren't good due to building works. However we had a fantastic time. Room on the 9th floor with amazing facilities.
