After receiving disgusting customer service and value for money I contacted the manager who, at first, took my complaint seriously, however after waiting 3 weeks for an outcome I've realised I won't be hearing from him again. Will not be using this restaurant again.

Visited on the 8th for an afternoon tea with family and friends for my daughter's 22nd birthday. What a fantastic afternoon tea it was, we had 3 of the gentleman's and 5 of the traditional afternoon tea. Everyone loved it, the service was second to none. Many thanks to Gail and Stuart for looking after us. The hotel is undergoing...

Went for an anniversary meal, spent it in an empty restaurant. Seeing the menu, not surprised, we booked on thebasis of the website menu, which is totally different. The online menu bears no relationship to the far more pedestrian food actually on offer. Food acceptably cooked, nice wine, but more pub menu than restaurant. Not impressed on the whole, considering...

My friend had a surprise birthday meal for friends and family on Sunday. The surroundings were excellent as was the service and the food. There were lots of people in there also celebrating but we were still made to feel special. The food was all served at the same time and the standard was lovely. We had starters served at...

Absolutely disgusted with this establishment. Booked a party for 17 people on Mother's Day, but my girlfriends son has been taken into hospital for an emergency surgery, thus they can not attend the meal, so our party will be reduced by 3 to 14. Phoned up to ask for a refund, and was told no refunds available.. even when a...

Here we are again for probably the 30th time, all good, and as usual we had the ribeye which was super. The Manger spoke to us very kindly and arranged for free after dinner drinks. What a nice gentleman. Tomorrow, after probably one of the best full breakfast in England, we have our conference and lunch.

I stayed at the Westmead ahead of a family meal. The checking process was fast and stress-free. I'd parked, checked in and was unpacking in my room within 5 minutes. The room was huge and it was also clean. The décor is a bit dated, but that really doesn't matter. The bed was massive and could have slept 3 instead...

Surprised by some of the comments below about the modern decor - the room I stayed in was most definitely unmodernised. Looked like it had last been refurbished in the 90s, with chintzy curtains and socket for your modem in the wall!! Speaking of which, the walls were paper-thin... and I mean paper thin. Possibly the noisiest room I've ever...

The Westmead is a place I have stayed in many times. It is one of those places (like very few others) where I stay for work, then buy myself an extra few nights and have a weekend treat. Great place to chillax. It is owned by Ben (a former Manager of the hotel), and he runs it perfectly. He has...
