This hotel was recommended by a friend who lives close-by, but it wasn't what we were expecting. The rooms are clean but way too small. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There's no aircon, and the room heater was left on the top setting. The window wouldn't open so we weren't very comfortable. There's no wardrobe. or minibar fridge....

From the moment we got to the hotel right up the the minute we left, the staff were very helpful and full of local information. The hotel was a short walk from the coach station, even though we arrive 2 hours, they look after the suitcase where we had a look around the area before we could check-in. We had...

Hotel was clean, centrally located so handy for the markets and shops. Staff were very helpful and polite. Travelled by train - short taxi ride from the station. Bar and café on the ground floor - didn't eat here but the food looked up to good standard. Will use this hotel again.

Quiet room as asked for, rough area of Birmingham, drunks and vagrants outside. Beware the room heater which had been left on top setting 11 for what must have been days, the room was like a sauna and 12 C degrees outside. Finally managed to open the window and took a cold shower but still roasting hot, totally impossible to...

Not luxurious but well situated for our night out at The Jam House. The staff were very helpful with local directions. The breakfast was pretty good value and tasty. The bar opens late and had a good selection of drinks. The rooms are pretty basic and our TV remote did not seem to work at all, but as a place...

Very good value - good, clean rooms. Staff were welcoming and friendly and sorted out our initial problem with a wifi connection - our mistake, not theirs. Once up and running all worked ok - a little slow but to be expected I guess in a place that size.

It was advertised on Travelodge website as Birmingham Central, in fact a 20 minute walk and the hotel is in desperate need of a refurb! The room smelt damp and the corridors were untidy. We won't be staying at that hotel again. Thanks
