Despite the lady on reception being very friendly and nice and the place being relatively clean (relatively!) this place was absolutely horrendous. The only reason we had to stay here was because we were let down at another crappy place in Birmingham at the last minute. Unfortunately we had no other choice, don't make the same mistake as us.

Checked in then checked out with 30 seconds Walked from town center has stated 1 mile Was a long walk along unpaved dual track roads..had to walk through a rather dodgy looking housing estate. Finally arrived to a bolted front door that was on side of a very busy road. Had to ring bell for entry, reception was dark and grimed,floor...

In a delapidated building on a noisy roundabout with barred windows by the entrance which is an old fire door. The reception and rooms were clean but comon areas felt grimy. Staff welcoming but this feels like a hostel for the homeless

I booked this as a last resort as there were no other hotels available. I didn't check the rating as I would rather have stayed in my car. If there is a bigger dump of a hotel in Birmingham I don't know where it could be. This place is truly the pits. Quite simply, don't stay, you will regret it!...

Don't get me wrong the manager at reception was a kind lovely women and we'll mannered. Unfortunately first impressions count, the outside of the hotel looks like a prison. With bars over the window, the smell hits you as you walk in. Our room smelt of body odour. The website shows the hotel to be reasonable I'm sorry but it's...

Filthy and run down. We stayed there for one night on a business trip. The room was disgusting. Caged window, cobwebs on the curtain pole. Red paint overlapped onto the adjacent white (at one time) walls, filthy radiator, the cable for the kettle was sticky and was too big to fit into the sink to fill, there was brown damp...

The Prime Lodge is probably the cheapest accomodation in Birmingham, but beware; you get what you pay for. I needed a cost effective one night stay, but the benefits end there. The corridors leading to the ensuite room, and indeed the room itsself are in need of redecoration. The shabby dark room was warm and the bed comforatble. The TV...
