I can’t recommend this lovely B&B highly enough. The moment you set foot into the building you are warmly greeted and given local information and recommendations to make the most of your stay. The room was clean, comfortable and the bed super comfy - the en-suite was also clean, spacious and with complimentary toiletries. The breakfasts were delicious and generously portioned. If we return to Stratford then this is the place we will be sure to return to!
nothink to say about this place apart from good things room was spot on owners was superb very good knowledge of the area bed was so comfy didnt wanna get out breakfast was good defo recoomend this place and its location is superb
Owners we very pleasant, informative and made a great breakfast. Room was large, clean with tea and coffee and a good ensuite. We had booked it late as we had had altered plans and it was exactly what we paid for.
Extremely tired and and cluttered. Whole place felt musty and needing a total deep clean. Not a hotel, honestly felt like we were staying in an old peoples home. Webs and dust in the room and bathroom. Breakfast had to be pre ordered on arrival! My husband had booked as it claimed to have award winning breakfast! Dreadful breakfast, very small and under cooked single sausage. Was pressured by owner to write in visitors book. I really didn't want to but she kept insisting. This could be a beautiful place if it was stripped back to the bare brick and lovingly restored. As it is, it's plain awful.
Stayed for a couple of nights in March 2020. Situated in a lovely Georgian building, we stayed in room 6. The room was very clean, with traditional decor with a spacious private bathroom. The power shower was amazing. The owners were lovely, very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. The full english breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend to friends.
We booked this B&B very last minute as we decided on a day out in Stratford to stay over for the night, The hosts were very friendly and professional, we were in room 1 which was a double room that had a private bathroom just on the landing, We have never had this option before as always choose en suite but were very pleasantly surprised. The bathroom was spacious with a bath and separate shower and was spotlessly clean, plenty of complimentary toiletries were in the bathroom in a basket. Plenty towels available too. There were 2 robes in the bedroom so that we could hop over to the bathroom in comfort, the tea / coffee facilities were plentiful and there were spares of everything in a basket on the landing. The room had a big comfy bed and a mountain of pillows ! The room was very clean and cosy. Breakfast the next day was lovely, a nice selection of cereals along with fresh fruit and juice we had chosen our breakfast the night before which we don't mind doing. Everything came out freshly cooked and hot along with plenty of coffee, I would describe the B&B as quiet and homely with a cosy feel with nice hosts. The location is very convenient and just took a few mins to walk into the high street. We will defiantly recommend this place as a good value B&B in a great location.…
Just had a long weekend here with my wife and were both sadly disappointed after reading positive reviews The location was great just across the road from the town centre and the breakfast was good but It was filthy from top to bottom and is in desperate need of a deep clean , it hasn’t seen a lick of paint in years and years, the whole room and communal areas haven’t been cleaned in months...it was on the verge of disgusting. We don’t know how it even got a fire safety certificate as our room door wouldn’t automatically close which I thought was a legal requirement of a fire door , also once it was closed it did not close fully as the door seal was still visible inside our room even when locked, God forbid the rest of the rooms were the same as we were on the top floor and a fire would have spread instantly. Sorry but we wouldn’t recommend nor return to this property …
An old traditional Stratford 3 story house right by the town centre. Excellent location for the shops, bars , restaurants and of course the RSC theatre. We were greeted by the Land Lord and Land Lady who was extremely cheery and informative. Parking is easy as they provide a scratch card which enables you to park for £3 / 24 hours and right next to the property which is a bonus. Breakfast is via an order form which makes sense as it lets the proprietors plan ahead and have your breakfast perfectly served as soon as you come down to the dining room. Excellent quality and just right for a good start to your day. The room was airy but as it’s an old grand property it does look a little tired but it was clean and adequate for our stay. The only negative thing I can give is the noise from the road. It’s very, very busy and very, very noisy. So much so we had a terrible nights sleep. Feel quite bad for writing this as we had a lovely stay and the owners couldn’t of been any nicer and anymore helpful. …
Very comfy bed with plenty of good thick pillows. En suite had large shower with plenty of toiletries. Breakfast ordered the day before and cooked fresh for you. good selection of cereals, yogurt and fresh fruit. Hotel was central - just a few minute walk to town centre. On checking in all the local places of interest were pointed out and best places to eat. Parking was in street next to hotel and just 3 pound for 24 hours. Looking forward to returning.
Worst ever!!!...in need of manners and a full steam clean !!! From the moment we entered the property to checkout this was our worst experience in a guest house/hotel that we have ever encounted. It started when we was TOLD we must have breakfast at 9.30am and no earlier because, quote"we would be in the way"moments after i was embarressed by having to pay for our stay immediatly in front of the friends we arrived with, bearing in mind i was paying for the other couple as a treat..so so wrong!!!and too many nosey questions. Now the room!!....well what can i say??..filthy to say the least, dust ,cobwebs, cracked sink and stains in abundance and extremely dated. After a mediocre breakfast we checked out,not before being asked numerous times to put a comment in the visitors book. When we declined we was then 'TOLD' to put a comment in the book,we still declined. This didn't go down too well with the owner. As i was saying thankyou for the stay, she grunted at me followed by slamming the front door in my face!!..0/10 for hospitality.…
