We stayed here for two nights and requested one Privilege Double and one Privilege Twin Bedroom. We were allocated two Privilege doubles and had to make a fuss to get a twin room which wasn't made into a twin until we had asked three times. The twin room was twice the size of the double so my husband and I... More

Dear EJR62 Thank you for your recent review following your recent visit to Stratford upon Avon, I do apologise for the confusion with your initial reservation, I have asked the reception manager to ensure her team are reading and look at all reservations individually. I am afraid the hotel is over 400 years old and the bedrooms are all different,... More

Very comfortable beds; in interrupted sleep on both nights, even though the hotel appeared to be full. Service was very good and the staff were helpful. Breakfast has a good choice and is pretty efficient.

Perfectly nice hotel. I will use it again because of its central location. Charmed by the squeaky floors! Comfortable and very big bed. Not so sure about the room thermostat! Breakfast was standard but enjoyable. Only complaint, which has nothing to do with the hotel, is Stratford's hellish one way traffic system!

Dear James A Thank you for your recent review, I was pleased to note that you enjoyed your stay and charms of the hotel and Stratford upon Avon. I have asked the maintenance manager to check all the thermostats throughout the hotel, as the weather has become a lot colder in the last few days. I hope we will have... More

This is the second time we have visited this hotel and both times had a standard double room. However on this occasion the double room by far was much better. It was huge. Breakfast was good and staff all very friendly and welcoming.

We stayed at this hotel for just one night as we were attending Stratford races. This hotel is very traditional has good sized rooms and ample parking.Staff were courteous and very efficient at check in.I very much felt that the hotel kept the memory of Shakespeare alive as it was so olde worldy which is a credit to all.

Mixed reviews about this hotel. Location is Fab, lovely old features and well presented reception areas. Breakfast is between £10 and £15 each depending on which staff member you ask which is bad. And is not really worth it. Cheap coffee, and not enough food out and not good enough quality. Would recommend breakfast elsewhere. Room was nice a big... More

A modern hotel in a quaint exterior, short walk to the theatre and quiet for a town centre. We got upgraded to a Prestige room, a large room or small suite, with sitting area. Good bathroom en suite. Bed very comfortable. Freshly cooked breakfast. Obliging staff.

I booked the Shakespeare hotel some time ago and was pleased to be offered a free upgrade to a Junior suite. The room was excellent and very comfortable and warm. Staff were very friendly and helpful although I had to teach them what an Express and Co breakfast was. Excellent stay and the restaurant was equally as good, food plentiful... More

Our room was large and the bed cosy and made for a good night's sleep. Clean and well serviced. The hot water was a bit hit and miss. WIFI fantastic. Would definitely stay here again if we ever return to England.

I love this hotel and have visited several times. It has an old luxury feel but make sure you pay for a king or luxury room because it's a bit hit and miss with the cheaper rooms. Parking is great for such a central location. Perfect base for a Christmas or special shopping trip with lots of great places to... More
