Excellent hotel. We received free upgrade. Had anteroom, sitting room (with frig, yea kettle, and Nespresso machine, large bedroom with comfortable bed, nice bathroom with shower which converted to handheld, and closet. While the food choices were standard, the quality was better than most more breakfast. Great location.

This is one of the most striking building in Stratford and I have stayed here in the past. The entrance is still ok, but my bedroom (whilst large) was in dire need of refurbishment. To compete with other properties in the town, this is essential. Staff were all lovely - polite, friendly and efficient. The restaurant dinner menu needs update from pub-like style to a 4*hotel. Breakfast was good.

I really liked this hotel because of it’s central location and the way it felt very traditional to Stratford (Shakespeare theme, architecture, furnishings, etc.) The only negative I have is that the room felt a bit dusty and the floorboards were quite creaky.
