Been to this hotel several tines and it’s perfect for getting around the centre of Stratford on foot. The service and facilities are consistently good . The staff are very accommodating and the price Is competitive .
We had such a warm welcome and great service from the whole team at Stratford Central. They could not do enough to help, and all with such warmth and genuine friendliness. Stand out service from trainee Diana! Nothing was too much trouble.
Central, but what an odd place! We’ve stayed in Premier Inns in Edinburgh, Bath, Sheffield Redbridge, Torquay ,Surrey, Birmingham and London to name but a few. We are usually great fans of Premier Inn but this one was just weird. A tiny off the street doorway access at street level led up several flights of stairs from the Ground floor to Reception. Being in our seventies we tried using a ( very) slow lift but it would not let us out when we got to the level that Reception was on . So we had to go back down again, out again, and up those stairs again. It took ages. Our room ( or “ the cellar” as we referred to it), was also on ground level but in a different part of the hotel entirely It could not be accessed without that tortuous journey up to reception from outside, then a trek along various corridors and then another lift down to (another) ground floor. Or via several flights of stairs. It was a windowless rabbit warren All in all it took about ten minutes to get from the hotel entrance to our room. And about the same time to leave unless we used a very peculiar exit near our room which led out into a grubby loading bay. Some of the lift signage “press 0 to access ground floor") was confusing. ( Why not "press G to access Ground Floor"?). One has to be very fit and very young to enjoy staying here. Stamina and determination is required merely to access your room. Probably ok for Chess Grand Masters or Mensa members but otherwise quite a challenge working out how to get around. Easily the quirkiest budget hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Home or abroad. It needs a rethink and a refurb. We won't be going back. It wasn't cheap either. The view from our room was directly onto the street outside. which is presumably why the windows were permanently locked. There were net curtains, but it was impossible to stay in the room with any privacy and have the curtains open. There was air conditioning, but if you like good Warwickshire fresh air and a view, this hotel is probably not for you. On the plus side that free WiFi is always welcome, There was plenty of room and the bath was a treat after all those stairs . There were no USB charging points at all, which we have found standard in most other Premier Inns. So instead of just leads it was plugs with leads. (A good job we bought a few). The floor in the room was uneven which was a little disconcerting. Though there was what appeared to be a well appointed bar and restaurant back in Reception, we saw little evidence at anyone using it except early morning. Slim competition for nearby eateries serving breakfasts to suit all palates. Or staying open after 10pm. For this reason we did not bother trying to eat and drink there.…
receptionist Given me room 310 3rd floor had to take my bags up the stairs from floor 1 to 3rd, open room and find is not cleaned, went downstairs to reception again give me Room 325 in 2nd floor went up with my bags again, open door and find out that room 325 also not cleaned and towels in bathroom floor, went down again to receptionist, she mo apologies and give key for room 3 in ground floor by the traffic and carbon dioxide road this is a big shame for that Hotel company and this city see photos now i been left without room and i had to book another hotel
We stayed here for 2 nights and it was a lovely stay. The room was clean, tidy and we had a great nights sleep. The hotel is in a great location - close to all attractions, pubs, cafes, etc. The staff were very helpful.
Picked this hotel for central location, it worked really well for a boys golf weekend as we wanted a short walk into town. Easy parking and check in. Beds were comfortable and room was quiet. Breakfast was good and staff were helpful,
I stay in premier inns quite often and there is normally a chain bar/ restaurant next door which they use for breakfast and dining, at this on, there is an internal restaurant. Stayed here many times but not had an evening meal before, so thought I would try it. Just dined, only had the main, and felt I had to leave a review. Very poor food. Poor quality, small portion for the price. No chef, just microwaved meals. Won’t be dining here again. There is a lot of choice for food in Stratford, my opinion is that they should just not serve evening meals. The breakfast is standard Premier Inn, so no surprises there.
First time to Stratford upon Avon. Premier inns in good location. Walking distance to the main historic area. Surprised there was no servicing of the room during my stay. Room was a good size and had the basics. Bathroom was tired with mould in the shower and no shampoo, conditioner etc. Breakfast ok.
‘Morning Charlie’ Great customer service at this hotel where in the breakfast line the guy in front of us was called by his first name. ‘How do you remember your guest’s names?’ I asked. ‘He was in yesterday with us having breakfast,’ said the friendly guy at the restaurant. That’s brilliant customer service in my book and something that even the best hotels forget to do.
My husband & I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights from 2-5 June & it was very central to shops restaurants etc.Yes it is a rabbit warren or steps & corridors but it was clean & comfortable & we slept well & heard nothing. The staff on reception were excellent & if in Stradford Upon Avon again we would certainly stay here.
