I visit the hotel every month and have done so for years which testifies to how much I love it! However, I particularly wanted to thank the wonderful staff at the hotel. On reception Kate and Tracey make every visit so special. They are friendly, welcoming and incredibly professional. Both of them always go the extra mile for customers and are an asset to the hotel. In addition, Krasi and May are the most delightful staff to have serving breakfast in the restaurant. They are calm, cheerful (even when it is really busy) and very helpful no matter how much pressure they are under. Alice is also wonderful and always so helpful and cheerful. She makes us feel special every time we go in the restaurant. The hotel is lucky to have such incredible people working for them and we, the customers, benefit greatly from their amazing service.

Mother and I booked into this hotel. We are aware Stratford upon Avon is a touristy place, but this hotel took the time and trouble to help. They recommended loads of places to have an evening meal, Kate on reception was an absolute star. The rooms we had were comfortable, quiet, and warm, there was ample parking, and we were able to come and go as we pleased. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Well done and lots of love to you all xxxx :)

We had a lovely overnight stay at The Swan’s Nest along with our chocolate Labrador Harley! It was so nice to find a genuinely dog friendly hotel. The team made a huge fuss of Harley from the moment he arrived and had thought of everything we might need, from a doggy welcome pack with treats, poop bags and a toy and in allocating us a room next to the car park exit and small enclosed garden. Very helpful for late night toilet breaks! The room was very nice, clean and well equipped. The bed was so comfortable too. It was great to have a very good dog friendly pub attached so we didn’t have to go too far for drinks and a meal after spending the day exploring. Excellent location for Stratford Upon Avon, you’re literally next to the river and a 3 minute walk to town. Don’t be put off by the look of the outside of the building, it’s a bit dated but certainly not a reflection of the quality and comfort that you’ll find inside.

The rooms are great. we always ask for one opposite the river - much more quiet. I hope the relationship with the Bistrot Pierre continues as it is lovely to have excellent food and company literally 'on the doorstep'. Great rooms, terrific people and great food with fabulous service on the door step. Not forgetting a wonderful and picturesque town.

We have stayed at the Swan’s Nest Hotel numerous times in the past. This was our first time back since the hotel is under new management. We enjoyed our short stay and we will be back again soon. It’s the perfect location and close to shops and many restaurants.

Hotel in a great location for exploring. Nice sized room and bed. Bathroom adequate with a lovely powerful shower but perhaps a little dated - Only a very minor issue. Also to be expected of an old building in parts - the floor boards in the corridors and room above were very creaky and a little noisy - again no big deal. All in all a great place to stay thats central.

Wow what a discovery! Our first time staying here after our usual hotel hiked the prices sky high, but thank god they did or we would never have found the swans nest. A good location for exploring all our usual haunts in town and ideal for the big park and river. Rooms are a good size and have all the amenities including fridge, hair drier, desk and chair as well an armchair with table. my room has a view of the hotel gardens. The cleanliness was flawless on arrival. first time in a while I can truly say this is a dog friendly hotel and not just dog tolerant like many others. Dog treats always available in reception with water, there was a goodie bag for doggy in our room with a toy, treats and poo bags. Dogs are welcome in The Bear bar so you can eat and drink on site too, it’s fully dog friendly, no being shoved into reception to eat. Both food and service in The Bear are excellent. The little hotel garden is ideal for a toilet break for the dogs too. The staff explained they had put us in a ground floor room near to the garden exits which was so considerate and something we really appreciated. The staff are extremely welcoming, the best we have experienced in years. Genuinely engaging and always ready to help. Always greeted us in the corridor too. Parking is just £5 per day, compared to £15 at the other hotel we have stayed at, so really reasonable. Only a couple of minor disappointments, would have been nice to have a bath tub. I also didn’t realise there was no lift in the hotel. I think £15 per night for a pet is excessive as this is to cover additional cleaning so £60 for our stay, that would be an awful lot of cleaning!! We visit SUA about 3 times per year and this will definitely be our new haunt. We were all really impressed.

Arrived at the hotel on a Sunday afternoon for a 2 night stay. Check in was easy with a lovely lady on reception who gave us a map of the town and told us which way to go, found the room easily. The room itself was a club double and was a lovely, clean room with a view of the big wheel and the river. It was a short walk to the town centre and plenty to do while there. Had booked breakfast at the hotel which was lovely, there was a choice of times and even though the 2nd day we were about 10 minutes early we were easily accommodated. We had a drink in the bar which was warm and friendly. There was plenty of parking, we parked on Sunday and didn't move it again till we left on the Tuesday and it cost £10, which is very reasonable. Would definitely recommend this hotel for somewhere close to the centre and for peace and quiet.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Kate was lovely on check in. She helped with our bags after noticing I was struggling (for some reason I’d said I didn’t need help at the desk when she asked so bless her for coming to check again as I very much did!) Room was a good size and lots of character. Location is fab, 10 mins walk to town or the theatre. Bistro food was nice too

My husband and I planned our first week-end away in the last two years. We were looking forward so much to this stay to relax and de stress but we came home more stressed than before we went. On checking in we were advised that we had to book for breakfast and that the only times available were either 8:00am or after 10:30. It seems that booking for breakfast has become the norm in a lot of hotels....something we find very annoying. When you go away it is to relax....to get up when you feel like it....to have a lay in.....not to have to set the alarm so you dont miss your breakfast slot! This immediately made us feel unwelcome. We went to our room which in fairness was lovely, large and clean. A little while later Reception called us to say that there was availability at 9:00 am for breakfast so we accepted this time. We had dinner in the Bistrot which was very nice. The next morning we went down for breakfast at 9:00am. A member of staff bought tea and juice to the table and took our order. We waited and waited.....and waited. We were then advised that our order had been forgotten and what was it we wanted again? How difficult is it to take an order, walk to the kitchen, place the order? We left without any breakfast and walked up the street where we found a really nice place called "Vintner" and had a fantastic breakfast. We also booked here for dinner and could not fault it....it was superb. We chose not to get to-day off to another bad start so did not go for breakfast at the Hotel. Our room was also not serviced during our stay which meant for your £131 you got one packet of biscuits and 4 little milk cartons for two people for two days. Very miserly. On check-out this morning I was asked if everything was alright during our stay.....at which point I did relay our dissapointment in the whole sorry stay. I was advised that I should have asked for our room to be serviced and that I would have been advised this on check-in. As it was the same lady checking us in as checking us out I advised that we were not given this information. I was asked if we would stay again....it would be hardly unlikely. I also queried why it was so disjointed between the bar/bistrot/hotel. This is because the bar/bistrot is a Franchise. So in fact the pictures in the Gallery of the restaurante is misleading as it is not part of the Hotel. I also queried why we had to book for breakfast when half the tables are empty. I was told it was a shortage of staff. Having been in hospitality myself it would seem that some re-organisation would free up staff to actually serve customers. Most hotel restaurants put out a buffet of juice/cerals/pastries etc for guest to serve themselves. We came home and pondered over the total waste of money our week-end had been and if we visit Stratford again we will book into the Premier Inn and walk up the street to Vintnor for the best breakfast in town. In fairness one good note....I asked a lady on Reception if she could book a taxi for us. This she did and left a note in our room apologising for the breakfast fiasco and leaving a bar of chocolate.
