Lovely hotel situated on the edge of the river...Staff so friendly and accommodating, special shout out to Cameron who looked after us the whole day. Beds comfortable and a lovely graze box was left for us in the rooms as a treat for my friends 20 year work anniversary. Will definitely be returning.

We spent two nights at this hotel at the start of may. Check in wasn’t a issue, room was ok although it bings where missing from the room such as robe. Room wasn’t particularly clean. After first night returned to the room late afternoon to find room hadn’t been cleaned or towels replaced. Spoke to reception who managed to get towels but room still not sorted. On the second night we ordered a light meal at the bar, a home cooked ham and mature cheese sandwich, it arrived with plastic pre packed ham and a square cheese slice, again spoke to staff but not much done. The hotel had a literature convention on and quite clearly could not cope at night with the number of guests. Very disappointed especially as I have emailed the hotel and they haven’t even managed to acknowledge email

I attended our company sales conference on the 5th & 6th May & it was absolutely fantastic Great location, with easy access parking The meeting room has great natural daylight & aircon The outside area reminded me of being abroad & looked out of this world! The food was outstanding & so was the service An absolute gem of a hotel - thank you

Our family stayed here last weekend to celebrate a family birthday. We had issues with all of the 3 rooms. The child beds in the family room were not made up when we went to the room. Reception said it's not their problem and basically blamed us for not reporting it earlier. It was eventually sorted. The King Executive room needed maintenance twice to sort out issues, and these rooms have no drawers, so you have to live out of a suitcase - not 4-star. The room is tired and in need of renovation. The bathroom is tiny and the wooden surround to the sink is crumbling. The view from the room was the roof of the dining area and extractor fans gave persistent noise during the stay. The bathroom door in the twin room would not open on the last night and my daughter needed access to another room down the corridor to use a bathroom. The heating in the swimming pool had failed some time ago, so the water was cooler than expected. All this is evidence of failing infrastructure. We ate in the restaurant on the first evening and service was poor, with meals brought to the table at various times and one dessert forgotten. We had to remind staff to bring the glass of wine that was part of the 2 meals for £39.99 deal. There was an attempt to significantly overcharge and a lengthy exercise in basic arithmetic was necessary to sort this. We ate meals elsewhere in Stratford and these were good with excellent service. The queues for breakfast were lengthy, with 40 people in the queue on one morning at 09:30. There was no table for us in the dining area and we were told to find a table in the bar. This resulted in a long trek to the buffet area. We reported the issues with the rooms to reception and we were given the e-mail address of Guest Services and I contacted them 3 days ago, but they have not replied. The location is good, but I would recommend staying elsewhere.

There was no bathmat in the bathroom which was quite dangerous but otherwise the room had most of the amenities you would need. Breakfast was a joke on the second day of my stay - no hot food on the buffet until 30 minutes after the advertised time and no offers of a pot of coffee - it was help yourself from a machine.
