Apprehensive after reading other reviews ,, but as with so many reviews on trip advisor people just want a moan! Room comfortable , evening meal and breakfast were very nice ,, attentive staff without being obtrusive ! Really enjoyed our short stay !

My wife and I returned to the Alveston for a short stay as we wanted to visit Stratford. We like this hotel as it has a nice atmosphere, good leisure facilities and it's location right by the river is perfect for walking into Stratford upon Avon. We have stayed both times in the 200 wing as it is close to...

Booked this hotel for our 41 st wedding anniversary. Our room was very nice although we had to walk ti the other side of the building , first floor no lift. We were pleased we were so far from the main room in the end as they had a wedding on and the music was loud. The arhmosphere was not...

Great location for visiting Shakespeare's houses. Bit expensive in the bar. But so many great places to eat. Try The Fourteas Cafe in the town great cream teas in wartime forties setting. Bus tour recommended. 40 minute river trip was good not very exciting but enjoyable.

I took my heavily pregnant wife away as I feel she deserves a break before our little one arrives. The hotel sounded and looked very nice so I thought it would be perfect, how wrong could I have been. On arrival after booking through trip advisor we were told we would have to pay for the room there and then...

We have just got back from a fantastic easter break at The Alveston Manor. The whole experience was amazing. Did not need to use the car as the hotel is positioned close to all the local amenities and attractions. Our room was spotlessly clean and very quiet. We had the bed and breakfast option and the breakfast was excellent the...

For the money we paid for two rooms for two nights (averaged about £170 a night), these rooms are not worth it. The bed was quite comfy, but the room very small and very shabby. The shower was clearly designed only for folks who are vertically challenged as neither my husband nor I could stand under it without bending one...

I like this hotel. This hotel has good ambiance and provided many good facilities. The hotel room is good as well, except bed mattress is too soft. I would like to try their spa but it seems that the staff is picky. She didn't give me any available schedules for massage although the following afternoon was free. Before she served...

Was so looking forward to a romantic break in a luxury hotel. Arrived slightly early to be told "check in is at 2pm" Fair enough but have often arrived early and been treated with a smile or a "do make yourself comfortable in the lounge etc" not "don't darken our doors until later" sort of thing. Also the room would...

This is a comfortable and historic hotel but we were surprised to find that wifi can only be connected if you have a mobile phone. Which I don't. Our local bus service connects us automatically. Our local cafe has a simple password, surely a hotel chain like Macdonalds can manage this better. The food was great. Wonderful to have a...
