We had visited the Baraset many years ago as a local haunt to eat out as we had lived a few miles away. Food and service still has good. Now with the addition of a 16 rooms set in a separate building across a courtyard with outdoor seating. The ground floor rooms have a small patio and chairs and the rooms face south so lovely to sit out in. We had first floor rooms but the large doors (with glass railings) opened inwards so you could sit inside but feel outside. The rooms are very spacious and although a typical hotel room layout are way above the average size with everything you would need and the extra large beds are huge! Very well appointed. There is no lift though so if you need one ask for the downstairs rooms. Lovely to be back in the area and great to see the place thriving.…
We recently had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful Baraset Barn, I say recent, it was actually NYE but it's still on my mind to write a lovely review so that must count for something! The rooms are beautifully renovated, spacious and modern with a gorgeous view. The restaurant and bar area are very welcoming with gorgeous interior and charm. Aside from the venue itself it's the staff that absolutely made the experience for us. Every single member of staff made it a priority to make our night amazing. They were attentive, super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Even on NY day when we returned to the restaurant for breakfast we were greeted by the same jolly faces from the night before and the best quality breakfast! We will absolutely be returning and we have already recommended a trip to the area to friends and family.…
This hotel is fabulous, the surroundings, the rooms, the view, the food, the service were all amazing. Would definitely visit again. We had breakfast which was lovely and we also ate lunch there but you could definitely just stay at the hotel and not go out.
Amazing place. Had a fantastic time from the moment we arrived. Staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The room was spotless clean and the had nice little touches such as fresh milk, coffee machine and even movies on the TV. Atmosphere was lovely in the evening when we had food. We sat in the orangery before and after dinner and didn’t want to leave. Loved so it so much I’ve booked to come back in 3 weeks!
We’ve stayed before at this lovey place , friendly helpful staff , nothing is too much trouble , rooms are spacious and clean with superb linen On this occasion however breakfast was very underwhelming, supermarket sliced bread probably the cheapest range , offered 1 croissant or a choc au pan no other choice but the biggest let down was the “Baraset Muesli” it was a generic box of mid range muesli bought straight from the local supermarket , very disappointing and not what was expected. Sadly on this occasion the breakfast let out stay down
