Always use Motel One for stop overs in Newcastle. It’s always a great price for the night and the staff and very friendly and the rooms are spot on, this was the king size room we stayed in and the view from our room was amazing! We just stayed for the night and paid £69.00 on bank holiday Sunday, did not take up breakfast at the hotel as we prefer to go to spoons at the gate, the room was spotless and they really took COVID serious in terms of the procedures they had in place. We will be back!

Stayed for a cheap getaway for the weekend in Newcastle and this hotel had everything we needed! Great Modern Interior Super friendly staff! Comfiest bed ever❤️ We upgraded to a Queen sized bed and was Sooo worth it! Pretty small but super cosy room- everything we needed- and the wifi even worked in room! Lovely bar area for some drinks before we headed out Great central location Great price First time staying here- and in Newcastle, and i 10/10 absolutely would stay here again. The hotel location is very central and has lots of nice bars and restaurants on its door step. The hotel check in area and bar area has a nice and cosy feel about it. On check we where expecting the room to be cheaper due to the VAT reduction, however the hotel stated they had merely increased their prices to accommodate this. We then asked for a room upgrade and was told this would cost an additional £10. Bit mean, considering the hotel was empty and they had already gained on the VAT so we never bothered. The room we got was small and basic, the air conditioning did not work and the TV didn’t work properly. Had a poor nights sleep due to having to have the window open and lots of noise from people outside the hotel chanting and singing. On check out the receptionist didn’t even ask if we had enjoyed our stay, which says to me their not really bothered. This was our first stay in a Motel One and considering the above I don’t feel it provides value for money, so unfortunately we wouldn’t recommend it or stay their again.

I checked in on the first day of when the hotels opened. They where happy to check me in even though it was a couple of hours before normal check in was. The staff here are amazing and friendly, they always around so if you need anything they are happy to help. The room i had was small but they do have bigger rooms but for what you pay or what I paid was definitely worth it. Even though I live in Newcastle I'll with out a doubt will be back even if it's just for a coffee. Thank you to all the staff members for what you have done. Room 428
