Hubby and I had originally booked a 2 night stay at The Vermont Hotel where a room and breakfast was booked. We had booked to stay there as I was having day surgery the day after our arrival. Lockdown came about and with my surgery still planned to go ahead our booking was transferred to stay at The Vermont Aparthotel. On the day of arrival we were met and spoke to a lovely lady called Megan on reception. Megan was very jolly, helpful, courteous and smartly dressed and our room card was given this being for number 101. All Covid safe procedures were in place, masks to be worn, 2 metre distancing, hand sanitisers and the NHS track and trace check in. On entering our room we were very pleasantly surprised to find that we had been given a 2 bedroom self contained apartment. The apartment was of a very good size, clean, modern and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was kitted out with everything to enable a self catering stay, even down to a dishwasher and a tablet provided! As we were aware of Lockdown we had taken food and beverages ourselves to consume. The kitchen bin could have been to be a bit bigger for the apartment size of 4 guests as just the 2 of us soon filled it. It was however, not a major problem as we used several carrier bags we had taken. Snacks were on the side and the fridge full of alcohol and soft drinks and the menu and prices for these written on a poster on the wall. If any of these were consumed it was to be taken off the £100 bond we had to pay by card on our arrival. We didn't consume any of the goodies on offer mainly as we had taken our own food and wine and also because things on offer we found to be very over priced. The bed was lovely and comfy with superb bouncy pillows and a good nights sleep was had on both nights. The en-suite bathroom we used was very clean and modern with good lighting. The towels provided were nice and fluffy and a lovely arrangement of toiletries supplied. The shower was a bit strange to begin with as there was several shower heads to use. However, the pressure was great and plenty of hot water to be had. There was another bathroom in the apartment to use which had a bath in it but we did not use this one. Check out was quick and easy and done by the lovely Megan again. We were told that the £100 bond taken should be back in our account within 10 days and we were wished a safe journey home and told it would be lovely to have us stay again. The Vermont Aparthotel is situated very near the quayside and virtually under the famous bridge. There are a lot of bars and restaurants nearby one of which called Sambuca was were we had an Italian takeaway from which was delicious. We can highly recommend a stay here, whether it is for business or pleasure. We look forward to returning hopefully for another stay next year where we hope 2021 is a better year for everyone.

Honestly that was one of the best city break experiences I have had in a long time. The legendary friendly Geordie welcome on arrival certainly lifted my spirits as my friend that I was supposed to be travelling with had to cancel our long planned weekend at the last minute, so I had an impressive two bed room apartment all to myself. The two bed rooms with two comfy double beds are furnished really well and of a good size, one is slightly larger than the other and has it's own en-suite facilities. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need to make this an easy homestay experience with excellent quality cooker, freezer, dishwasher, microwave and oven to make home cooked food, but really there is no need to go to all that effort with so many great restaurants and bars all around.the front door. Location for a positive experience is everything and this hotel is second to none in that respect, tucked into the shadow of the Tyne Bridge it simply can't be beaten. I flew down from Aberdeen and took the Metro from Newcastle Airport to Monument station and from there it was a short 15 minute walk downhill to the property. I am already planning a future stay here, hopefully with friends this time.I absolutely loved this hotel and the friendly staff I met and hopefully I can stay for a bit longer and explore even more of this great city.

Me and my partner stayed for our anniversary last week, which included a night stay in the apartment and a 3 course meal at Aveika. All I can say is what a lovely experience we had. A nice chilled bottle of prossecco on arrival, and the room it’s self was gorgeous and very clean. Decor very modern and luxurious with lovely marble bathrooms and a lovely view of the quayside. The food at aveika was amazing (given it was a set menu - lots of choice and very delicious!) Not forgetting the gentleman on reception was very welcoming too. Overall an amazing experience and highly recommend for anyone and also people who are not from the area - it is right in the heart of newcastle/quayside.

I stayed here last night with my husband and my Mam for one night in the two bed apartment. We were very impressed! The apartment was perfect just what we expected. The bedrooms were very clean and my mam has her own privacy with the bedroom which had an en-suite. Nice thick curtains so we had a lovely lie in! Towels very clean and soft. The man on reception was very friendly on our arrival and because we were too early for check in he arranged to put our bags in apartment once it was ready on our return. Will definitely use these apartments again would be ideal for two couples.
