I had a lovely stay at the Adelphi. The room was cosy and clean with an en-suite bathroom. The hostess was very welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and included a continental option as well as a cooked option made to order.

Found on AirBnB as a cheaper end of the market place to kip after the international rugby match at St James Park, I stumbled on a gem. A rambling Victorian terrace with about 7 rooms - the one I had was in the rafters with a mini en-suite (fine for a couple of nights). I’ve given it 5 stars because it was spotless, parking permit was £1, the excellent, freshly cooked, quality English breakfast was an extra fiver (plenty of cereal & toast included in bed price) and it cost £50. Brilliant.

Stayed here for the Great North Run weekend. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival! Our room was specious, bed comfortable and the bathroom just what we required. There is ample to choose from at breakfast from cereal to a lovely fry up! It's within walking distance to the city as well! The perfect place to stay in Newcastle

Stayed for four nights, had a nice spacious room, very clean, good location. Maxine was very friendly and gave me some useful tips and helped me with a late-night check-in. To be honest, I was actually surprised to see how good this place was, given that it was one of the only hotels with available rooms around Newcastle city center with such short notice (one day before my stay). Don't let the rooms in this hotel stay empty, they deserve more than this :)

A really lovely B&B to stay in, the room was clean and comfortable. The owner Maxine was welcoming and friendly. We had the family room and were very pleased with it. Great breakfast and free WiFi. Also only few minutes walk from the shops and restaurants. Also a big thanks goes to the owner’s daughter who made my little girl very happy with the trampoline lessons! Thank you.
