This is probably the poorest 3 star hotel I've ever stayed in. While the entrance is very nice, the rooms are extremely outdated. This refers to everything from the bedroom furniture to the whole bathroom. On the plus side, this hotel is in a fantastic location. It's right opposite Newcastle railway station and minutes away from many excellent restaurants, bars,...

A nice hotel which is well located in the city centre. The room itself was nice but very warm (even with the heating turned off). Had to keep the fan on all night. Friendly staff though and would highly recommend the breakfast buffet!

An excellent choice for an overnight stay near the station. Extremely convenient, lovely staff, a clean and comfortable room, superb breakfast, great value. It's not perfect. It's an old building, somewhat dated - as is the furniture. The bath could have been 50 years old, but the plumbing worked well. The floors creak. It's a rambling building, with longish corridors...

The main areas (check in, restaurant etc) are just beautiful and so elegant. Staff are very friendly and helpful too. The room itself I have to admit I wasn't too pleased with though. We were given a room on the 5th floor which faced onto the train station (view wasn't bad but wasn't amazing either). As we walked into our...

Stayed here on from Friday 7th - Sun 9th April as part of a stag weekend. Apart form the rooms being a tad dated (and very hot through the night), there's little to complain about. Upon arriving only 1 room key worked, but this was quickly resolved. The rooms were clean and good size, with comfortable beds. The staff were...

I have now used the hotel for about 5 stays in the past two years each lasting 2-3 days each time. very satsfied. Check in was very fast, polite and simple the young man asked if I preferred a rearward or front-facing room advising himself that if I didnt want weekend street noise to aim for a back room. in the...

The location is very good and it does have parking which costs £10 not clearly signed posted though. Rooms are nice but did have cracked tiles in bathroom, ask for a room at the back of the hotel, we stayed at the front and it gets very rowdy, they do have sound minimisers on the windows but they aren't that...

Visited using a Living Social voucher which cost £69 including room, breakfast, a bottle of prosecco and late check out. I'd called before arriving to ask about parking, and Suzanne on the reception desk was fantastic (she was also great throughout our stay). Parking is great, private and only £10! Service throughout was great, and the breakfast was good. However,...

I have a regular hotel that I usually stay in on Newcastle Quayside for business trips, however I'd heard that the County had been taken over and modernised so I thought I'd give it a try, with it's close proximity to the station, it could have been a great new find. However it was the worst hotel I've ever stayed...
